    Not trying to rain on your parade but I think people would be better off going to Craigslist. Especially considering people aren't going to be out buying things for their wedding for years and years.

    I think this is a great idea! I don't live in Omaha but our wedding will be there.  Where I live, we have a TON of groups like this.  One has 6,000 people and they swap things like crazy.  I hope your group grows so you can help each other.
