LA Diamond District Suggestions

Hello All!
 
I'm usually on the NYE board but I needed help and so I came to the local board.  After shopping, looking, browsing and trying on rings every where here in Orange County I am finally going to the Diamond District.  I was researching the area and there seems to be so MANY stores.  I am already burnt out, and I don't want this trip with my BF this Saturday  to be a disaster.  So do you ladies have any suggestions or recommendations on the jewelry store to attend or tips?  We're looking for semi mount settings, I have a diamond in mind here in the OC already but am also open to buying a diamond down there as well.  Any help is appreciated, THANKS!

    This board is a little slow so keep checking in.  There are several ladies on here that have gotten their rings downtown.  Hopefully they'll post soon.

    We love them a lot. He has a lot of interesting settings. Some are sort of antique-looking. I'd really recommend stopping there. They're right in the corner near the street.

    Thanks ladies, I'll keep checking in.  I am getting pretty stressed out, I feel like a chicken with its head cut off running around so much.  But I will make a great day of it, as long as he can make it through so can I!

    My husband and I got our bands at Icing On The Ring.  They were good.  Go when they have their big sale- I think it's 20% off?  and they have it frequently.

    Icing on the Ring was wonderful at creating custom rings for me and my husband. Ask for Vic, he's awesome.

    My husband also bought me a custom set of gorgeous pink sapphire earrings at Soloman Jewelers downtown but I wasn't with him.  They are perfect!

    My DH went to Bridal Rings Company (http://www.bridalrings.com/) to get my e-ring. He had such a good expierence there that we went back there to get our wedding bands. They were extremely helpful and not pushy at ALL - which was really important to us. They let us take our time and we got a great deal too. We dealt with Kathy and she was just great. HTH!

    Thank you so much ladies, it makes me feel a bit easier about this weekend.  I am pretty nervous about the possibility of so many stores to look at up there.  I hope to hear some other Knotties reviews before I go.

    DH and I got our bands at Kevin's Gems - he and his sister were wonderful to work with. They custom did both of our bands and a price waaaaayyyyyy under than what we expected.
