Odd Things You Worry About...

Hey girls! Are there things you are worried about the closer we all get to our weddings? I am worried about one thing in particular and it's rather funny. But my fiance also agreed I need to be extra careful the month of our wedding. I hurt myself A LOT. I am rather clumsy at times, but in a different way. I am very coordinated, but somehow I run into things or trip and fall or hit something that seems to be out of everyone else's way but mine. Haha! My family, friends and myself always laugh about it but I usually have a bruise or scrape on me. I am now worried I am going to have bruises or cuts on me in my strapless gown! I know I can use make up to make it look less noticeable, but I just hope I don't have any marks on me! :-( I know it's nothing major to worry about but wondering if any of you worry about things or maybe I'm just crazy! :-)

  • I worry about spilling on myself during dinner at the reception. I'm massively spill-prone and carry Tide-to-Go in my purse.

  • I worry about everything. Literally. I am diagnosed with OCD, so it's my nature to worry about anything and everything I can. Most of the time I can't sleep. Things I worry about: That something will happen with our venue or church and the wedding won't actually happen That guests will think our wedding sucks That I won't get all the little details right and the wedding will look thrown together That my hair and make up will look like crap That my wedding dress will look awful (I actually won't try it on again because of this) Honeymoon: I'm worried about the plane ride. I am so scared of riding on one. Hurricanes Freak tsunami Drug cartels I am a worrier!

you just descibed me to a T !!! lmao .... twice last week i cut my hands at work once on monday on the back of my hand than again on friday other hand real deep on the tip of my finger!!! apparently we got a new knife that was extra sharp but no one warned me on monday and than on friday i just happened to use the same knife uggg! i am so clumsy some times!i also fell the night before dress shopping < ok this time i was drinking so that explains my lack of balance />i skinned my elbow  also badly! my aunt was cracking up at the dress store she was  like " only you would be trying on all these beautiful gowns with a skinned elbow!" !

i told my fi i had to live in a bubble for the month before our wedding!
  • i have pretty bad nasal allergies, sometimes I get sneezing fits just being near my patients' flowers that they get from visitors.

But I love the outdoors and I'm having an outdoor wedding. :P The site doesn't have flowers, it's just a wooded area by a creek and I've been there several times already. What I'm worried about is being allergic to mine and my girls' bouquets...haha, but I will have a talk with the florist about this next week. I think i'm mostly allergic to lilies and daisies (flowers where the pollen is sticking out). I seem to do fine with roses so I might stick to those. I thought about alternatives to a floral bouquet but I still really like flowers and wanted to carry something "real" (instead of a fabric floral bouquet or brooch bouquet). I'm hoping to not have a sneezing fit during our vows. :P

  • I worry all the time about different little things, but the main thing that is terrifying me and will until it's over is that I have to walk down a flight of stairs during the ceremony.  I am freaking out about it!!  I really really really hope that I don't fall - not for fear of getting hurt but for fear of humiliation!  The picture is of the stairs so, as you can see, it's not a short walk either!

  • I'm really worried that no one will dance and it will be awkward. I just want everyone to have fun and I worry that people will think it sucked.

I've only been to one wedding that was not the cake and punch at the church wedding. I was a MOH and had no clue what happens at full dinner/dancing receptions. I just think maybe I have no clue what I'm doing or I'm going to miss something that ends up being important.

  • I am worried that the day of the wedding I will be running around making sure everything is in order when I really want to be relaxing, centering myself and enjoying the thought that I am about to get married! So I guess I am worrying about worrying on the day of!
  • Dude, I could write a book about the WR things I worry about. Thank god my FI is the type to never worry about anything - AND good at calming me down!

Since the OP was worrying about wedding clumsiness, I'll chime in and say that I'm paranoid about tripping and falling during the ceremony. I refuse to have an aisle runner for that reason, and I'm also not planning on wearing heels! Or at least low and very stable ones if I do.

  • I'm worried about everything coming together. We're having an outdoor ceremony and we have to rent our own chairs, and there's nowhere local that rents them that will also set up/tear down, so we'll have to do that ourselves. We'll have to set up our reception ourselves, and there's a church service in our venue the same morning, so we can't do it until later. We'll also have to clean up the venue that night (I don't want to dump that on family/friends) and we have a 6:55 am flight the next morning for our honeymoon. I'm worried that we won't get everything straightened out for the ceremony music, the decorations, the reception ... just everything!

I hit wedding panic/freakout a few days ago and I'm sort of still in it. My stepsister is our caterer and she sent me an ill-timed Facebook message in the middle of my freakout so my freakout spilled over on to her. Luckily she completely understands (she caters professionally, so she's used to dealing with stressed brides) and was able to calm me down a bit, but I'm still in freakout mode to the point where I had three wedding nightmares last night.

i also worry about nobody having fun or nobody dancing!!!
  • Odd things?  I worry about having to use the bathroom at terrible times.  It'd be a lot of work and take extra time in that big ol' dress!

  • ditto falling, tripping, hurting myself in any way, spilling drinks.food down my dress, breakouts, everyone being bored, and having to use the bathroom

I don't even know why I am worrying about them because they are guarantees. I will trip at some point, I always spill something on me and every single fancy party I go to, I always have a big ugly zit right before something important (graduation, prom). I also have to go the the bathroom frequently (just part of my daily life). My FI has commented on the number of times I go to the bathroom in a day. So I will be making it worse by putting on this huge gown that I will need help getting in and out of.

As for people not having a good time, half my guests are crazy partiers, insulted by our cash bar and that we only have the hall until midnight, and the other half are appalled that there will be any alchohol and don't dance.

    Whoooooohooooo!

  • I know I will injury my self days before the wedding. That is my biggest fear, to be bruised and banged up walking down the aisle.

I know my mom will somehow piss me but that is just who she is.

But like someone said all that matters if by the end of the day I am married then I will be a happy woman...
