What is your favorite thing about your FI/DH? What's the most annoying?

My favorite: How amazing he is with our little girl... seriously, it will melt your heart.

Annoying: His need to fix everything. When I vent to him, I just want him to listen... but he starts offering up his solutions immediately. I get to the point where I get so mad at him, I forgot what I was even venting about!

Favorite thing: He loves to cook more than me. I don't have to spend another day in the kitchen if I don't want to
Most annoying: He spends money like it's nobody's business. He always tries to justify it by telling me "I never spend on me, just on spoiling you" Luckily he was more than willing to let me take the reigns on our bank account, etc and give him an allowance when he returns home.

Favorite thing: I have a lot, which sounds really sappy. My most recent favorite is how sweet he is with our doggy... who is like our child. On Monday, he had his teeth surgically cleaned and had one pulled, and was really pathetic and in pain and out of in Monday night... and James was adorable. He kept loving on him, and giving his medicine he would tell him how much better it would make him feel, and just reassuring him constantly... and he is a dog and can't understand a word of it. But it was adorable still, and made me really excited about when we have kids

Most annoying thing: That man can watch TV for HOURS. Seriously, he could spend an entire day, from the time he wakes up, til the time he is ready to go back to bed, on the couch watching tv! It's pretty amazing, and not in a good way. He does lots of things around the house, so this isn't an all-the-time thing, but sometimes, his ability to veg out just astounds me!

Favorite thing about FI: He treats me like a princess. No joke he really does. I've never had a man treat me better. Plus he puts up with my craziness.

Annoying: Same as Brianna! I hate venting to him. It's so annoying and I always end up mad at him at the end of it. Then, I'm pissed about two things.

Favorite? I don't know. Ben really is just the kindest man in the whole wide world. Plus he plays the guitar, which I think is hot.

I just love how he treats people--from me, to his grandmother, to my grandmother, to his mother, to my mother, to my daughter, to waiters and waitresses, to people he greets on the elevator. He is nothing but kindness 24/7.

Annoying? Easy. He's anal. Like unbelievably so. From keeping appointments, to keeping track of finances, from getting somewhere on time, to writing everything down--I could go on and on. Last night I got up to get more tea in the kitchen, and when I came back, he had already put my coaster away. In like 3 seconds. It's unbelievable.

The only thing that keeps me sane is knowing that a little bit of it is caused by OCD so I have to let it go.

Favorite: There are so many, but I love that he's usually quick to take away the dishes and clean up when I make dinner.

Annoying: Other than not taking out the trash (which he is getting better at), it's his pile of clean clothes that he leaves on the side of the bed. I know he's busy, but it's not like it takes hours to hang up the clothes. I went ahead and just did it myself this morning. Maybe that will give the hint without me nagging.

That sure does sound like Andrew! If I move something in our house, even if it's two inches from where he had it, he will know. It's unreal... and I can't help but laugh when he does it, which only fuels the fire! I tell him all of the time that he's OCD!

My Favorite: His humor and the way he makes me laugh. Plus I love that he laughs at all my jokes (even when they aren't very good)

My Annoying: His love of all things science....I HATE science but he still insists on telling me "fun facts" about space, earth, etc etc hahaha

Favorite: he is always surprising me with little things like getting me a little Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream when he goes to the store or picks up a magazine I like. Just always thinking of me. I say I'm cold and he gets up and gets me a blanket without me having to ask. So sweet. I wonder when that will all go away?

Annoying: repeats stories and can be a one-upper. Seriously, we've been together for a little over 2 years (married all of 5 day) and I swear I hear the smae stories over and over. I thought this was supposed to happed after 30 years! Everytime we pass certain things I know the story is coming and it usually involves how good he was at something or bragging.
a few examples:
Topic - skiing: I was skiing black diamonds my first time. The snow patrol told me to slow down and when I told them it was my first time they were like "No way!"

me - Yeah babe, thats great but you were 21 then. You're now 38 and these are the Alps. Get used to being on your arse!

Favorite: He is very considerate and caring. He treats me like a queen. In the beginning of our relationship, I kept wondering is he really always this nice

Annoying: He is so messy and unorganized, but I am learning to let some things go. It makes it hard sometimes, because I am so organized and want a plan.

I don't think there was much convincing at all. He always commented on how organized I was with my budget before we got a joint account (seriously I have spreadsheets for EVERYTHING money-related). We figured out pretty early on that my strength was keeping us from splurging on unnecessary things. I swear I sound like a mom when we are grocery shopping and he wants to get everything for dinner - "Do we REALLY need that?"

When we were figuring out handling his bills while he was deployed, he more or less handed everything to me and said 'I need an allowance for spending while I'm gone." Easy, peasy. No kicking and screaming at all. I think it's in part because he knows what we save between both our check this year will go towards the wedding and a new house.

I laughed when I was at lunch with my FMIL and FFIL cause they were impressed it was that easy for me to get his spending habits under control.

Favorite: He's such a nice, good guy. He is always sweet to me. He's nice to everyone. He's very laid back and goes with the flow.

Annoying: He talks so much! He's quiet at first. So all our friends think he's so quiet. Umm... no. He talks ALL the time!

Funny that you bring this up today...I have experienced BOTH characteristics so far this morning and was ready to scream!

Favorite: His unconditional kindness. He is the epitome of a 'giver'...always thinking of others before himself. This is what makes me feel SO bad about being angry about his BAD habit....

Annoying: He is seriously the SLOWEST person I've ever met. If we have to be somewhere at a specific time, I will tell him that we need to be there 20 minutes before we actually have to arrive. I mean, I delay things, and can be a little slow getting ready for something (what woman isn't!), but I swear I want to kill him sometimes. I'm convinced that he will seriously be late for the wedding because of a Rangers game that he can't pull himself away from or a video game that distracts him for more than 5 minutes!

My Favorite: He is a a great person and is very caring, sweet, and giving and all that amazing and sappy jazz....but my FAV thing is that he is ridiculously silly all the time...but mature and responsible at the same time.

Most Annoying: Hmm... probably the incessant need to DVR and watch cartoons, survival shows, and the most obscure and random (read:boring) documentaries on television.

LOL!!! This is my BIGGEST fear for Saturday. The game is at 3 and our wedding isn't until 7 but I'm worried it will go into extra innings or something and he'll want to finish the game!!!

Favorite: I love how he understands the little things mean more to me. He tells me he loves me everyday but he really shows me when he does something that I have just mentioned in passing (like wanting the dog he got me) and sending me roses at work yesterday with a note about how excited he is to marry me on Saturday!

Annoying: That he can't tell his boss no! He works ALL THE TIME! He will come home from work, eat dinner, and work more. He'll fall asleep with the computer and wake up with it again. I understand his job is important and makes everyone else be able to do their jobs but at the same time just say no so that the boss will hire someone else so he can stop working all the time. His boss actually asked him to come in Saturday morning. I told the boss NO on that one!

Oh yeah he did! I just gave FI a look and turned around and said "um no he will not be coming in on Saturday since he is getting married and all." He just oh ok and walked off. I couldn't believe him!!! FI foudn someone that can fill in for him tomorrow-next tuesday so we can have some time without the boss calling or the boss' idiot son calling. He isn't even taking his phone with him!

Favorite - he keeps me on my toes...he's sweet when I least expect it and he can always change my day from bad to great just by being his silly self!
Most annoying - for some reason...he is ALWAYS right and it drives me absolutely CrAzY!!! Mainly regarding things that he has committed to his amazing memory that I can never remember. I blame college for eating up all my memory!

Oh, and another annoying thing - not turning off the lights when he leaves the room!

Even though he took the day off, Bill ended up going in on the day before our wedding. I got a bit mad.

If I listed off everything that Bill did that annoyed me, you guys might wonder why I married him. :-) I will leave it at this: I don't like sci-fi books at all and he loves them. My eyes roll back in my head when he talks about them. That and he uses big words at dumb times.

I love that he sends me texts in the middle of the day telling me that he loves me. I love that he sent me flowers for my mom's birthday the other day. I love everything about him but mainly that he'll clean up any of the cats' "presents".

Oh Julie... that sums me exactly as well.. lol.... A few random annoying things are, he open drawers, cabinets , boxes, anything you can imagine to get something out of them and then leaves them open forever or until I get annoyed enough to go close them. He also cleans his office at home by dipersing items through out the house and places shopping bag, clothes , whatever you imagine up against a wall in the leaving room, foyer, etc. It annoys me so much, because that's not cleaning, that's moving your mess to another room. This week alone, I moved his stuff back to his office twice. LOL... OK, one more, if I ever ask him something that is time critical before someone else notices it, it feels like time stands still and he refuses to understand or do what I am asking until it's too late and then I get pissed off.

Sigh.. ok good things. He is a really caring person.. he is a true family man and I love that about him. I knew he was a winner when he offered to host/cook/grill for me and 40 of my closest friends on my first bday that I knew him.

Favorite- I know he would literrally work himself to death to provide for me if he had to.

Annonying- He works so much he doesn't take time to groom himself. He never gets a hair cut or shaves. I know this sounds wierd but African American guys usually get a hair cut weekly. He will go a month or more w/o one. Like now he has a mini afro in the making, b/c it's been a few weeks since he's had a hair cut. The reason this bothers me is b/c when I want to go out somewhere he'll say, we can't go my hair's not cut. It drives me BANANAS!?!?!?!?!?!?

Fav thing: just one? He's so good to me! He hardly makes me pay for anything...well except the wedding part..that's all me :-/ He always wants to know how my day is and ask how things go....He really listens and puts up with me and my stress between money issues and trying to find another job. He loves Rosie just as much as I do...he treats her like she's our daughter.

Annoying: He forgets things too much...specially if he's playing X Box or on the pc..he doesn't really pay attention so he naturally forgets.

Yeah a little late again

Favorite thing: Kind of the same ole, same ole as everybody else. He is really amazing to me and has been a big help in keeping everything kept up with me busy studying for school

Annoying: he can be really really junky. His car is horrible, with crap all in it. He leaves his clothes on the floor in the living room and it is not even 20 steps to put it in the hamper. I'm always picking up his clothes.
