Ok... we haven't done this in a while...

Just because I love animals... and graysquirrel just mentioned wanting a puppy in another thread... everyone show us your pets!

Here's our bratty, trouble-making cat, Billy. His name is short for BillyWitchDoctor.com. That's only funny if you watch Aquateen. And yes, my nerdy DH named him.

And, here's the utterly neurotic, but insanely adorable light-of-my life, Buckley. One look at that round, fuzzy face, and it's no surprise I let him get away with pretty much anything. I know, it's a bad habit.

FI and I have a dog.  The "free to a good home kind."  Best spur of the moment decision I've ever made.  I fell for this dog like a ton of bricks.  He's a yellow lab, not sure how old but he's the best thing ever!  His name is Duke.  FI and I joke that if Duke could talk he'd probably sound something like Eeyore from Winne the Pooh.

Duke relaxing on the couch.  So. friggin. cute. :0)

Here is my Moose. He is a 4 y/o German Shepherd. He is such a character..

I was trying to get a good picture of him at the dog park a week ago to send to my FI when he was out of town. I sent this picture to my FI telling him that Moose is depressed and misses you terribly... think he bought it? Moose was having a great time at the park, if my phone could have taken a wider shot you would see he was soaking wet from swimming.

Ahhh I love this thread already :) I love pets, especially dogs. And everyone's pets are so cute! :) Made me smile on this early Friday morning.

MaggieandJake-- I LOVE your beagle! I had a beagle when I lived with my family and he was so lovable. Yours is just adorable!

My FI and I just got a chocolate lab puppy this past August, her name is Tory. She LOVES people and loves to play. She is super smart and we have already been able to train her to sit, stay and fetch perfectly.

musical-Thanks! Your Chocolate lab puppy is just as adorable.  I am definitely a sucker for puppies-and labs!  I originally wanted a lab, but when I got my dog, my parents said they were too big so we compromised on a Beagle-and now I'm hooked!

Maybe-I noticed the name thing when I saw your post too!  I actually named my dog after a comic that used to run in the paper called, "Buckles" about a lazy dog...apparently it was a self fulfilling prophecy...  Too funny about the pumpkin costume!! Gotta love Target :) *Buckles HATES it though!*

Missy is so cute!! Yeah I just love cavaliers- the most cuddly, loving dogs! He is either on my lap or cuddling with my roommates dog- a golden retriever.

We rescued Journey through MN Boxer Rescue last January.  She was found wandering in South Carolina, which we can't imagine because she is such a beautiful, good girl.  We love her to pieces and can't imagine our home without her!

I had a Cocker Spaniel growing up-love that breed!! Norman was his name. I think of Cavaliers as a mini cocker spaniel, with the big eyes and floppy ears. Having Norman was probably the reason I got Finley :)

Lucy's actually small for the breed, so people always ask if she's a puppy and they're surprised when I tell them she's almost 9 :-) and the Cavalier that lives near us is actually big for the breed :-P

I'm so jealous of all your adorable puppies!!! I love dogs, but we can't have them at our apartment. As soon as we move, we'll be getting a dog. Until then, I'll just fawn over all your pet pics the same way that a lot of women fawn over baby pictures...

I don't have any pictures I can post from work, but we have a black lab/beagle mix named Wesley.  He's about 25 pounds and is technically dark brown, but he looks black, and has some white on his chest and paws, and has the cutest big floppy ears that perk up when he's happy or listening intently (that's what made me fall in love with him).  We got him from Homeward Bound at the end of last June.  He's my very first pet!  At first, I was really nervous because I used to be scared to death of all dogs and didn't think it'd work out, but FI loves dogs and has always had one, so I wanted to do this for him.  Now he's my best friend and I think I love him even more than FI.  We agreed that once we bought our own house and fenced in our backyard, we'd get a dog, and we ended up with Wesley!

He's about 2 years old and originally came from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky, where Homeward Bound got him, adopted him out to a family that gave him back when they got pregnant, and now he's ours forever!  I don't know how anyone could've given up this dog.  He's so laid-back and perfectly behaved, even perfectly potty trained - not one single accident since we've had him, and he only barks at people on bikes.  He requires no effort whatsoever, and is great with kids.  He's the most wonderful dog, and I don't know what I'd do without him.

I can't wait to get home from work to see him!

That sucks, graysquirrel. My parents had an adorable 7 year old Yorkie that died this summer of mysterious, untreatable causes. It all happened in about 3-4 days (of which I was there for two trying to help out). It started with gastrointestional issues, then his kidneys started failing, followed by a stroke. I still have a hard time with it, and he technically wasn't even my dog :-(

Sorry I'm so late on this. It's been a while since I've been on the computer and now I'm attacking the board!

These are my niece and nephew, Molly and Elliott:

Elliott is needy and desperate. Sometimes we call him Despereaux. He is a gentleman and very sweet. Loves to snuggle. Loves food more.

Molly is top dog! Super snuggler and sweet as can be. She runs around the house looking for me whenever my brother happens to mention my name in conversation.

Meet Kiefer: he was less than a pound when we adopted him from the shelter and now he's 2 years old and ginormous. Also the softest thing ever, and an amazing snuggler.

This is Barley, our mischievous kitty. Also 2 years old, adopted from a shelter. He plays fetch!
