I have no idea.. They think that paigehenry is the same as this other chick.. paige has been pissy all over the ps board for a while now.. we sept. ladies go in and bitch her out like crazy.. and "report" to get rid of her posts..

To be fair, I DO think that shooke is a fake.

When I was brand new to TK community I had no idea what a "reg" was and didn't know I should make a particular board my "home". Shooke new that right away!?!? I don't buy it...

So.. I'll take the blame on that one.

I often 'welcome' people on the "just engaged" page. She posted the e-pics so I commented (seeing that her fi is Navy) and mentioned that she can check out this board, as well as the local board..

So she came here to say hi.. by the time I had mentioned those things to her, Jmford (a Sept. reg and a soon-to-be PS mod) and informed us of the strange posts by her.

I was just trying to be helpful.. Then she went all cray cray on the ps board.

I know, right?! One was, apparently, and the other wasn't. Ridiculous.. Yeah.. I feel badly that I kinda led her here.. But she didn't seem interested in us much.. which leads me to believe that she really is just an AE to harass the PS board.. which just sickens me. >:(

Yeah no kidding.. That really creeps me out.. I'm so careful with that stuff. I have a couple ladies from the Sept. 2011 board that I'm close with enough to have on my fb but that's it.. Irish and one other person has my mailing address, but I got theirs first (and I have the phone number of the other knottie). I never thought I would even go as far as to add someone from here on my fb, but I'm glad to have a penpal in irish, and now the other knottie.

I don't understand why/how people can make up so many AEs?!!?! I feel like being online and talking to a group of people that don't know me IS a sort of "AE" because.. well.. you don't know me IRL.. so why would I need another.. and another...

I just don't get it.

Seriously creeps me out. Apparently they think it was one of two people from the PS board....I feel bad because they're so excited about the board but clearly there are sick people out there. Luckily Paige got banned once she posted on Sept 2011, but now she can just keep creating new names. Scary. We reminded everyone to privatize their fb and stuff.

I'll totally admit that I changed some settings after reading that. It makes me sad and nervous..

I'm glad some people have so much time on their hands that they can just sit around and make up AE's and still be "regs".. ugh. So confusing and disheartening.

Yeah this was total BSC. I did have a feeling yesterday that she was a troll though. All her posts were just odd to me. This is way I always have my FB page on private, as in you can't find me at all unless I add you or you see me on one of my friends. Same with pretty much anyone else in my family. Too many crazies out there these days! And this person must not have a life to go through all these troubles!

This whole thing is just so ridiculous. In a way, I think we should have seen it coming. There were a lot of people who were really very anti TK having a PS board, and it seems like, especially without a mod, it's become a real target for drama. I lurk a ton on E and PS (and post occasionally, I'm not a total weirdo-I just don't post on every thread I read), and when PS came to be, I saw a lot of people thinking that something like this would happen. I'm worried that someone has created AEs in order to make the board so full of drama/unable to be helpful that it will just get shut down.

I also agree with Amethyst that it was waaaaay too soon to create a FB group for that board, but you can't change the past.

I think Stan has made similar points on here, as the Military Nesties have seen their share of AEs and trolls. I'm not so big on Facebook groups for Knotties as I feel like that defeats the purpose (and anonymity) of the boards. It also makes new people feel left out, which I don't think is really nice. It's fine to have side relationships and conversations off the board, but when they're alluded to or talked about without details here, I feel like it's a little rude.

If someone is trying to sabatage a board, that's just pathetic. Someone has way too much time on their hands and cares way too much about something that doesn't matter. If someone doesn't like the idea of a PS board, then they don't have to participate on it. I'm not Catholic, so I don't go on the Catholic board. Same goes for Gothic Weddings and a whole bunch of others that just simply don't apply to me. I don't know why someone would get their feathers in a twist over something like that.

IMO, the board has only been around, what, a month or so? At that point, I don't know that there are "regs." I know I've seen several of the girls on other boards, and there are people with higher post counts, but a lot of the girls on there are newer people who have found the board. In fact, I've seen a lot of them say that they have low post counts because that was the first board they felt comfortable on. I barely feel like a "reg" here, even though this is totally my home board, because I'm not on a lot at night and miss a lot of chit-chat (still love you guys).

Cal- There were some people whose panties were very bunched about it, but I honestly don't think it's any of them that did this, I think someone was screwing around and knew that if they got in on the ground floor of the group they'd have less to prove before they could mess with people.

I lurk more than post over there, mainly because I'm bad at keeping up with chat threads, and a lot of the daytime stuff is WR, which I don't need yet, but I imagine as I start looking for dresses and how to deal with my Mom over weight, I'll probably be over there more. I do think a lot of this could have been avoided through them having a mod to begin with, a board that was that controversial, surely someone from TK kind of keeps up on threads and could have known this would happen eventually.

I haven't been on in a couple of night, and I have tried to get all caught up, but what is a troll? (Like I know the fairy tale kind- it's a must for 1st graders- what is the knot kind)

From what I have gotten caught up on, is some girl posted pics of herself on various boards talking about how she wants to join the board and has poor body image. But what is this FB thing people are talking about?

haha ok.. so a troll is a person that makes an account on here to basically just be annoying.. harass different boards for no reason, stir the pot, dramaa lllaaaammmmaaaa :P

The fb thing is that the PS board made a facebook private "group" (I am part of the sept 2011 one, and the Seattle Brides one) and one of the "trolls" found it, found jmford's fb page, went to her facebook and saved a couple of her pictures, then came on TK and made them her default pic and siggy. cray cray stuff.
