Monday Accountability / Support

How did everyone do this week with weight loss goals and set backs? Ask any questions that might be on your mind.

I'm really interested in trying Zumba. I get so bored with my workouts and it looks like a lot of fun. Maybe I'll join a class. Anyone doing it?

    I'm with you; I am getting bored with my workouts.  We just have to find something new and different to keep us motivated. Have a great workout week everyone!

    Jump on in! That is what we are all here for.

    I am great with controlling my diet but I HATE working out. I think joining a class with fun music and dance moves I should look forward to going.

    See I love working out but eat horrible.  When I do both I am good but it is hard lol!  I really want to find something different though because the works are getting boring and I know my body is  use to them.

    I got the Jillian Michaeal ripped in 30 over the weekend and I plan to start doing her workouts today. I'll try to follow her meal plans as well

    I bought the Zuumba Wii game and it was a lot of fun.  The class however is a blast!  I highly recommed you try it.

    As for progress, I lost 3.5 lbs last week.  I went back to WW the Saturday after the 4th and nearly fell off the scale when I saw my weight.  I had gained 15 lbs since getting married 6 weeks prior!  I could feel every lb and then some.  I stuck to the program and I didn't do a lot of snacking between meals.  I know I can get the lbs off, because I have done it before, it is just frustrating to have to do it again.  Getting back to exercising will be this week's objective.

    This is NO JOKE, Jillian Michaels does not play around.  I started it last week.  Her meal plans consist of food I don't usually buy-all organic foods, b/c they're too expensive.  So I don't kow if I can follow her meal plans.

    We don't want anyone to feel bad. Just tell us how much you want to lose in total and every week let us know your progress or your setbacks.

    I got my Jillian Michaels DVD last Friday and started Saturday! I'm sooo sore! But its a good sore. I plan on sticking with it for the 30 straight days.

    Only 28 more days to go!! I'm still gonna incorporate my regular routine (zumba, kickboxing and treadmill), i hope this will be a boost.

    Carla - - Zumba is extremelyyyyy fun!! You should def. try it.

    I am trying to loose 20 lbs.   I do verywell with excercising and counting calories.  Its not the loosing that's hard for me, its the keeping it off lol.  I actually started working on my goal today so i will keep you all updated on how it goes.

    I weighed in at Weight Watchers and was 152 lbs.  I went down from 157 from my last month weigh in.  YAY!!!!  Gotta work on my abs now.

    So right now im at 137.  Im trying to get down to 120. Im only 5 feet tall so Im way over my ideal weight.  I figured that if i am going to join a support group gotta be honest and "let it all hang out" lol
    You ladies are awesome.  I love the support that is given not only in this post but in the thread.   Im glad i found yall.

    Great job ladies!!

    So I started weight watchers last Monday and I have done quite well. I had one day where I  kind of freaked out but I was ok. Actually, I am quite proud of myself for sticking to it for the week.  I haven't eaten any sweets all week which is MAJOR for me! But most importantly, I feel lighter this week. It isn't like I feel like I weigh less (which I may) but really I haven't felt STUFFED at all this week.  Which I think is the best thing.

    I plan to go grocery shopping tonight and add some exercise this week. I only worked out once last week.  Maybe I can even find that Jillian Michaels dvd online. I go weigh in this evening and I will let you all know the results. I am not ready to put my weight up yet.. although I know it isn't required!

    Thank You Carla for posting this! I am away at school and this is the first time I have been on the Knot today.

    So after stepping on the scale after 2 weeks, I gained a pound. My body does not seriously know whether it is coming or going. Since I am away at school, it will be a little hard to sneak away to the gym, but I am determine to at least make it 3 times out this week.

    I just want to maintain my weight...not one pound up and then 2 lbs down...Grrrrrrr, it is so frustrating!

    So don't laugh at me or kick me out...I'm not trying to lose weight....I'm trying to gain weight. (I loss some weight when I took on some bad eating habits-eating once a day--and lot of stress in helping my mom out through her divorce in addition to other things) I'm trying to gain weight in terms of muscle and just an all around toning up. However, ever since going on vacation with FI almost 2 weeks ago I have been eating like nobody's business. I'm trying to break out of this vacation eating habit. I don't normally eat like that. FI and I are typically healthy eaters. However, we indulged in some great food on vacation and I just continue to do so now that I'm back at home. FI ordered the Insanity workout and constantly called his mother during vacation to check his mail to see if it arrived. He's so excited about working out with it. Ugh..now I feel so sluggish and tired. I enjoy working out and I do it to stay healthy as hypertension and diabetes run heavily in my family. I am gaining weight but I definitely don't think it's muscle. EmbarassedI gotta get back on an exercise plan quick! Can't let FI be the only fit one in the relationship. lol

    Ok! I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I won't get to try it out until I see FI again in August (FI and I are long distance)...but I'll definitely give my review...
