So my FH and I have agreed we love the idea of having personalized hot cocoa mix as our favors for our winter wedding. However, all the websites we've seen that sell these have only a limited selection of overly cutesy templates for the labels, and they really aren't our style.
Does anyone know of a website offering single serving hot cocoa packets with blank labels that you can just design and print yourself? Or am I asking too much of the hot cocoa world?
Re: Hot Cocoa Mix Favors
Or put them in a bag with some marshmallows and peppermint sticks and putting a label on the bag.

... and I think the PP idea of repackaging a ready made mix is a great one....
I'll be making up my own bags of them if necessary as a last resort, but I like the clean look of the sealed packets I've seen online. I guess I could just order the personalized ones and stick my own labels over top, but it really seems like a waste.
arv266: Yeah, those are the exact cutesy ones I'm talking about, lol.

I think Godiva has some in metallic packs too but they are WAY more pricey.
HTH!

More options
this site has them for a dollar 25

[QUOTE]The Godiva are brown so they would match :) Can you tell I get excited about all things chocolate?

LOL. You and me both! I may end up with the Godiva...those look heavenly, and it looks like they'd actually cost about the same per packet as the personalized ones on other websites. And since I would be redoing the labels no matter what... We may have a winner.
Whatever you decide, make sure you post a picture, it sounds like a great idea.

[QUOTE]Do you have a favorite hot cocoa mix? I think it would be more important that you give your guests a taste of something you truly love, then end up getting a mix that is sub-par, but personalized.

Point, but it's kind of hard to top Godiva's, so if I go with that, I don't think sub-par mix will be a problem!
I do prefer the look of factory-sealed packages to home-made options. I guess if I put baggies of mix into nice looking pocket envelopes and put our labels on the outside of those, it might work. We'll see.
The peppermint stick idea is definitely great, but I'm trying to avoid anything Christmassy at the wedding because it'll be well after the holiday season. Maybe cinnamon sticks? They'd sure smell good!
[QUOTE]Have you been on the "winter wedding" board? Mrs. Luebke (my favorite wedding so far), had a hot chocolate bar. It was gorgeous and I'm sure she can lead you in a better direction!

I appreciate the thought, but that's a lot more complicated than I want to go.

Look around, I think you can get peppermint sticks that aren't necessarily white & red. Another thought would be mini marshmallows. Everyone loves Marshmallows in their hot chocolate.
Buy plastic bags/boxes (like this: http://www.nashvillewraps.com/candy-boxes/favor-boxes/sku-1129.html)
Fill up the bottom half with cocoa mix from a bulk container using a funnel (like this cocoa mix: http://www.seriouschai.com/i1698.asp)
Then fill a layer with chocolate chips
Then fill a layer with marshmallows
Then tie it with a bow, print off custom labels to stick on the front (like these: http://www.myownlabels.com/wedding_labels/)
They'd look something like this:

I also found similar ones at Amazon. I'm so excited to do this because I'm secretly hoping people will actually use these rather than the usual stuff that just gets thrown in a drawer.
