I have lots of work to get done today and our system is being so slow. I ask for one little thing and I get a "processing" message for 10 minutes. Is anyone around to chat?

I'm here. I have so much school work to catch up on, but my mind is just all over the place. I just don't have any desire to read about the environment ha.

Eagles, at my H's grandma's funeral it was really sad but it was also really fun to catch up with the whole family. The baby shower will be fun. That's an awesome surprise.
Hey all. I have an allergy injection in a few hours but thats about it, before we go to my parents to cook for them on our new charcoal grill (J is pretty excited about it). I love spring break.

I've never been anywhere for spring break. Of course NOW my dad decides to take my two little brothers to the grand canyon for their spring break this year. I see how it is. They pay for my wedding but NEVER A SPRING BREAK.

I had to say goodbye to four of my students today. I hate this. And I know more will be leaving in the next few days They're dropping like flies but I don't blame the parents one bit for pulling the kids out. I actually have the highest "stick around" rate of any classes in this building with my kindergarteners. But the other grades (so kids I have in French too) are losing lots of students.

Why do you not get PTO just because you're not salaried? Or are they not linked? The part-time/temp people here don't get PTO, but everyone else does.

Oh, I get paid one day for major holiday like Christmas and Thanksgiving but I thought she meant more like in school. More than one day. I really wouldn't want the work world to be like that, but the thought is really tempting sometimes.
Erin- I am currently going for an elementary education degree, but I am thinking about switching to secondary education with an emphasis in History. With my health problems it really isn't realistic for me to go for elementary education.

I've never had PTO, really. At my bank job, since I wasn't salaried, we only got 24 hours of PTO for the whole year. And it was directly linked to the salaried thing, because only salaried full time people got normal PTO. So even though I'd work 32-40 hours a week as a "part time" employee, I'd only get my 24 hours for the year. It sucked. Especially for people that always worked full time hours but were on a "part time" designation, since the bank was just shitty and wouldn't hire many salaried people just to avoid giving so much PTO.
