My MOH is throwing me a b-party about 1 month before the wedding date. She told me to pick the date and she's working out the rest of the details. I have no idea what we will be doing but I can't wait!
I think 1 month out is perfect...if it was any closer I think it would be too hectic!

All my girls want to go to a beach... but I'm getting married in October. Do you think June or July would be too early??

I think June or July is a little early, maybe late August or Memorial Day weekend in early September? It should still be warm enough for beach days before it starts to get progressively chillier. Or you could drive more south to get the warmer weather.

My b-party was 3 weeks before the wedding which was perfect that it was close but not too close to the wedding.

    a month and a half in advance........my b-party is tomorrow (AW, I know i can't help it!)

anyhow, three months does seem a bit far in advance. the only reason i say this is because i remember what three months away from the wedding feels like.........

and my friends were no where near as excited as they are now. i'd hate to see you miss out on your friends being all giddy and "omg, she'll be married NEXT MONTH CANYOUBELIEEEEEEEVEIT???"

long story short, i think when the bach party is closer to the wedding it seems just a little more 'real', as in 'holy crap this is happening and its happening soon', and everybody kind of feeds off that energy.

    i'm rambling. and stopping now.

    Mine is a month.

If you want to do a beach, I think late August/early September is a good idea.

I personally think it would be okay, but I would leave that decision up to them. My wedding was in late November but my bach was over the summer because it was easier for people to travel then (their decision, not mine.)

If that's what they are proposing and say they want to do, and if it works for your schedule, I don't see a problem with it.

Yeah I'm going to talk to everyone & see what is easier for them... I would want it closer to the wedding, but over that, I want to make sure everyone can make it! :)

Mine and hubby's was one month out. Any closer and it would just stress you out. Too many parties at once. Our favorite movie is the Hangover, but we never could understand why you would have one of these parties so close to your wedding??!!

Mine will be Thursday night before our Saturday wedding. ALL of my bridesmaids live in different states, and it'll be the only time we'll all be gathered together. We won't have a super wild b-party, so I'm not too worried about being hungover or too wiped out.

We're getting married early September. FI's bachelor party will be end of July, and likely my bachelorette will be something like June or July just based on the bridal party's schedules. My MOH is a CPA and her busy season starts July/August so I told her whatever worked for everyone worked with me.

Mine is about 2 months prior, it worked better for out of town guests as they were already in town that weekend.
