Need help from the Atlanta area brides!!!

Hey Ladies,

My birthday is at the end of the month and I need a wedding dress, asap!!  Soooo my bridesmaids and I plan on going to Atlanta to celebrate my bday.  While we are there I plan on shopping for a dress.  What bridal salons would you recommend?  Can you tell me anything about Bride Beauty or Bride Atlanta?

Hey! I've pretty much been to every bridal store in Atlanta lol so I can give you better recs depending on budget etc. Here is a short list to some places.

    1. Bridal Sense
    2. Bride Beautiful
    3. New Natalie's Bridal
    4. Brides By Lori
    5. Sweet Elegance
    6. Bel Fiore
    7. Affordable Bridal
    8. LaRhaine's
    9. Brides By Demetrious
    10. Alfred Angelou
    11. David's Bridal
    12. A Formal Affair

    My top 3 Favs are

    1. Sweet Elegance - very nice place with good/fair prices has a more upscale feel without crazy prices
    2. Bride Beautiful - Good Prices and good service ask for Gail she is awesome.
    3. New Natalies - More of a warehouse feel but awesome prices...hundreds of dress under 1K ask for Piper she's great. This is not a fancy place and they are borderline rude but good prices are the trade offs.

Night life I can't help on lol

I got my first dress from New Natalie's and Piper was my consultant! She's really sweet. I just don't like that there's a limit to the number of dresses you can try on (Five, I think), and that the stage is in front so everyone sees you in your dress. Like MsAmeera said the prices are the trade offs, but I didn't experience any rudeness when I was there...just waiting for almost an hour before it was my turn, even though I had an appointment.

I got my actual dress from Bridals by Lori - it's more upscale and the staff was very nice. Flo was my consultant and she was awesome. They carry more high-end designers, but the prices are actually lower than what you might find at other places with similar dresses. Overall, I was pleased with my experience there. I went to another bridal store early on, but I don't remember the name or location - it was nothing to write home about obviously. Those were the only stores I went shopping at in Atl.

Night life in Atlanta is like a shot in the dark. What do you want to do? You can find pretty much anything from strip clubs to live music at a lounge but they are all on totally different ends of the spectrum so we'd have to know what type of "fun" you want.

Wow, thanks for the list MsAmeera.  I checked out a few from your list just now online.  Brides by Lori seems a little beyond my budget.  But I knew that from watching the tv show...lol  The other day I made an appointment at Bride Beautful, and I'm going to try one more bridal salon, hopefully.

Soon2BeSand, As far as night life, we're looking for a club/lounge with a great ambience and mature crowd- 25 and up.

MissOwens - My LS got her dress from Bride Beautiful for $400! Check them out...I haven't been yet. I also went to La Raine's in the Highlands. LOVE IT!

As far as night life, I'm probably one of the few who is a native Atlantan around here, but I would suggest check out any of the Prophecy Entertainment or J3 Group parties. They have things every weekend. I actually grew up with and went to college with the J3 owners, they are all over 30 (funny they are attorneys by day, party promoters by night!). Their parties are all the 25+ crowd, no crazy fight break outs ya know?! Everybody there to have a good grown and sexy time!

I hear Museum Bar is a really nice spot on the weekends....it is in the hood, but the inside is pretty dope!
