  My ceremony is at 530 on a Friday with cocktail hour from 6-7 and then reception from 7-1130. We are having our ceremony and reception in the same place though, so that's why we can do it back to back like that.

  Saturday: ceremony at 6 pm (yes it's a little late, but it was a middle ground based on religious needs) immediately followed by cocktail hour and the reception since it's all at one location

  5ish ceremony, 530-630 cocktail hour, 630 till whenever for dinner and dancing all on a sat.  cheaper for a friday or sunday, but easiest on a saturday
