Hi everyone!
My name is Elizabeth and I have been perusing the site for awhile so I thought I'd introduce myself. My fiance, Chris, proposed on 1/11 on a private beach while the sun set in Siesta Key FL where we spend most of our winters we live in Western NY.
This is my second marriage his first. I eloped with my first wedding and my family did not like him very much. It's real exciting being able to plan the wedding I've always dreamed of and even more great that our families are just as excited as we are!
I have 2 children from my previous marriage 2 boys ages 6 and almost 9 and 2 kitties with my fl :. We are coowners of an antique book/ephemera business and therefore spend every waking moment with one another... And I'll never get sick of it!
We announced our date May 24th 2014 at our engagment party and the family joked "why the hell are you takingso long!". My FMIL sends me links to dresses constantly but I don't want to begin dress shopping until we pick a venue. My fl "needs" to have it by Lake Ontario and is definitely giving our wedding coordinator a toughy right off the bat... There's nothing too awesome on the lake here. But we do know for certain our colors will be black and ivory and we will be honeymooning in Italy where we both have family.
The kids are just as excited as we are and can't wait to call him their stepdad. They helped pick out the ring, and recorded little videos for me to watch after he proposed since they weren't there... It was super cute. So they have been involved since day one.
So hi and I'm excited to begin all this crazy planning!
