We had an awesome weekend!  Lots of things were closed because of the off season.  We got up there pretty late on Friday so we just made it for dinner at Harrington's (I think that was the name).

The area around the Inn was awesome right in downtown Stowe, so we walked all over the place checking things out.  The Inn gives 10% discounts to all of the area attractions so that was cool.  Loved the Inn itself!  We had a room that overlooked the heated pool.  Plus the room was right next to the gym, sauna and hot tub.  Which was nice because it was just us both nights.  Except for 5 minutes when a naked girl walked into the sauna.  (awkward!!!)  I guess she didn't see us lol.  We were going to upgrade to the luxury room for $60 the 2nd night but decided to buy concert tickets instead.  I don't need any fancy rooms to keep me happy.

Sat. we woke up and ate at McCarthy's it was so yummy.
    We went to:
    Ben and Jerry's
watched the glass blowing (bought from their 2nd sale dirt cheap)
Cold Hollow (twice we had a free 1/2 dozen donut card from the Inn)
wine tasting (still couldn't find one I liked)
Green Mountain coffee (FI is a coffee-holic)
the gondolas at Stowe (so beautiful)
The Gorge and the shops across from it
Trapp Family Lodge (amazing views!  we had reservations but decided to skip after seeing all the sports coats haha)
Checked out a few art gallerys
A bunch of other things that I cant remember at the moment my mind is still fried from all of the site seeing.

    Sun: Breakfast- McCarthy's
For dinner we ate at the Shed.  It was tasty & cheap.  We got there right as the sun was going to set so we got to watch it under the glass seating area while we ate.

I was dead set on wanting to go to Newport, but I loved it there.  So peaceful.  I just wish everything was open and open past 6 PM

yay!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun!! If we ever go back, I'll have to check out the inn you stayed at!

We thought the shed was really good too!

Yea I think there is probably a lot more to do in the on season, but it was nice and quiet and relaxing!!
