GM is MIA!

So, one of our GM is completely MIA.

FI has texted, called, and facebooked him.  NO response.  He hasn't been fitted, so FI texted him to remind him.  Waited a few days, texted him again.  Then called.  Then facebooked and said he completely understands if he is unable to be in the wedding anymore but would like a heads-up as to what is going on.  Nothing.

It's so frustrating because FI was in this guy's wedding...in May!  They had no falling out, nothing.  Just all the sudden he stopped talking to FI.  His wife is pregnant and they are in the process of moving so I can understand they have a lot going on and might not be able to still be a GM (our wedding is out of state) but I cannot believe he doesn't even have the balls/decency to tell FI that.  He is active on Facebook (yes, I've creeped) so I know he is getting the messages. 

So so soooo irritating.  Should we just assume he wants nothing to do with the wedding and move forward w/o him?  we only have 31 days!

    I would just call him one last time and leave a voicemail saying you want him in the wedding and you hope he can make it, and that the deadline for being fitted for a tux is X. Then do nothing. If he shows up in the tux the day of the wedding, great, and if he doesn't, at least you did everything you could.

    It's so frustrating to try to plan when other people are being unreliable, but I don't think there's much else you can do. :(

    Honestly if it were me and I knew the wife at all I would send her a message and let her know you're worried since he hasn't been responding to any of your messages.

    I met the wife once before the wedding, and then at the wedding.  She mentioned at the wedding if I needed any help, to let her know.  I facebooked her awhile ago and asked where she got her bubbles.  No answer.

    So, apparently their both avoiding both of us.

    We had something very similar happen & unfortunately we just replaced the guy.  FI tried contacting him for a month & I even sent a message to his FI.  Neither responded.  Then 3weeks before the wedding he calls FI angry cause he's at the tux shop to get fitted!

    It sounds like this guy is really busy and he's probably trying to figure out if he can make it to the wedding.  Maybe he can't and he feels bad about it.  If he can't make it or he doesn't get fitted for his tux by the las possible day, he's removed himself from the wedding party.  Don't replace him - that's crappy for him and the second-rate replacement GM. 

    I hope he gets back to your FI soon.

    we would never replace him - that would be really crappy. "Hey, we're getting married in 31 days and need a last minute groomsman, you in?!"  BUT, I really hate (like really really) uneven sides.  And now I have six BM and only 5 GM.
