Morning Ladies!

I slept like crap last night, because the pup was up all night with diarrhea and he got sick in his crate. Poor baby. Trying to get him to stay calm has been really difficult, we tried to walk some of his energy off yesterday but that didnt work.

I have Beer BBQ chicken in the crock pot for dinner tonight. How's your days looking?

Morning! I'm only at work until a little after 2- I'm flying home to MA tonight. I was looking forward to it until my mom went BSC yesterday. Cliffnotes version is she gave me the wrong day for my sister's move to college and blamed me for the error.

At least I get my dad's awesome chicken tonight. YUM.

Good Morning Ladies!
Kd I'm sorry about your pup. I hope he feels better soon. My kitten has a leaky eye. I don't know how to explain it but it looks like it's bothering him. And he has a lot of tears coming out of it. I don't know if I should take him to the Vet, find an eye drop at PetSmart, or put a warm compress on it. Maybe I'll try all three.

Crockpot beer chicken sounds good. Recipe? We are having taco salads tonight for dinner. Yum.

Today is going to be such a slow day at work. There is nothing to do at all.

Here you go,its very simple. And I use my Kitchenaid to chop it up for sandwiches.
Sorry your kitty is feeling bad, he most likely scratch himself, try compresses,but if it doesnt clear up in a few days I'd take him to the vet.

Still no Muenster, and I'm so sad. I'm checking the Humane Society website, but no luck in the lost kitty section.

On the upside, my short week is almost over. One more day until vacation!

Thanks Disney. He was fixed Monday, so most likely it was an effect from the anesthesia. He was doing just fine this morning, goofy as ever and chasing the cat!

That DOES sound fun! Although the last time we went camping, we (read FI) forgot the camp fuel, and I ended up cooking everything over the campfire. Super rustic!!!

It sucks having sick and missing pets. They're family members too, and it's hard to see. Crossing my fingers for speedy recovery and reunion!

Yep. Probably pooping too. Ha.

We're going to camp down near Lake City, and hike two or three 14,000 foot peaks. Redcloud and Sunshine, and maybe Handies. DH also has a few lake hikes mapped out, and we're going to try and fish. We're bringing plenty of other food, though, in case we don't catch anything. The second weekend we're meeting some friends for mountain biking and camping, but I'm not sure where.

Poor Atticus. Canned pumpkin helps "slow things down" in that situation KD. And I have an idea, I'll join you & Les too but we'll let her hike and pee in the woods and will stay back at camp and drink before Noon, and run into town as needed for bathroom breaks. I love camping but I'm a very low energy camper - I sit, I drink, I eat and I play cards.

Les, I really hope Muenster shows up. FWIW, my HS sweethearts cat (his mom's actually) went missing for 2 weeks and came home just a little worse for wear.

I was also hoping there was an update on the cat! Anyone have anything good to look forward to this weekend? We have this festival called Arts, Beats & Eats and it's super popular....so I'm hoping to get out of town and escape the insanity!

I just got home for my break and now I've got to figure out what to make for dinner. Hopefully something very quick and easy (maybe crockpot). All i've got so far is that I want cilantro lime rice.

Girlie- I'm with you, but I'd like it better if there was a cabin with a hot tub involved. I only like in and out hikes, one day, no sleeping on the ground or peeing in the woods.

Although when we were on our hike in Kauai (11 miles) by the end I would have been prefectly happy to lay down and sleep on the path.

My puppy also didn't do very well coming off the anesthesia after getting fixed. When I picked him up the vet techs were laughing about how even being groggy he grabbed everything not nailed to the floor and it was sooo hilarious. He seemed fine until I got him in the car, then he started crying and he threw up a bunch. He seemed to crash, but not until he was comfortable do to so. Silly dog. I really hope your puppy feels better soon. Being up all night cleaning puppy messes is never fun.

I hope you find your kitty soon too Les.

I left my work planner at home on accident today and I'm barely functioning. I've already gotten three emails and a phone call about meetings and programs and I have no idea if I have conflicts or not to schedule things. And of course I'm working in a far out county today, so I can't go home and get it. So instead I'm going to hunker down and do grad school homework and study for CHES exam.

Anna - do you ever cook with this kind of cilantro? It's in the refrigerated produce section. It keeps a lot longer than fresh, but tastes much better than dried.

Good thing my husband had to do it and not me ;) But, I got woke up right with him. He actually did really well when we brought him home, he wanted to play but wasnt allowed. Yesterday we took him for a walk just to burn some energy and from then on he wasnt doing well. Maybe, we over did it.
