Maui hotels for guests in Wailea/Kihei and close-by

Hi Everyone!

I am looking to see which hotels in the areas of Wailea/Kihei and nearby are offering group discount rates and how much they were per night. Please let me know which hotels you would recommend for the guests of our wedding and any personal experiences you have had. I would really appreciate any help I can get.

Thank you!

Do you just want hotels? Because condos can be a great, affordable route!

H and I stayed with our wedding party at the Pineapple Inn in Kihei (right on the edge with Wailea), and we LOVED it, and would recommend it to anyone.  It's really nice, affordable, and quiet.  Just a great place to stay, and we'd definitely stay there again.  Review in my bio under Vendor Reviews.  http://www.pineappleinnmaui.com/

Our guests all stayed at different condos.  Two different couples stayed at the Kihei Surfside, and really enjoyed their stay.  It's unusual for Kihei in that it's right above the ocean, and it's next to a popular beach (Keawakapu).  It's a condo building, but you can find lots of poeple renting them out on vrbo.com.

My family and friends are staying at Kihei Bay Vista, which is in North Kihei.  You'll find that most Kihei accommodations are condos.  The only real hotel that I can think of is the Maui Cost, which is nice.  Also, 99% of Kihei accommodations will be across the street from the beach--not directly on it.

Wailea has a lot of great, but of course, more expensive options.  There are a few condos, but most are resorts.  Some of my parents friends, who can afford the $300/night rooms, are staying at the KeaLani Resort.  All KeaLani rooms are "suites" and are huge!

We are staying (and getting married at) the Luana Kai resort in Kihei. It is a condo resort that we have stayed at twice before and love it. It is right on the ocean, has a newly renovated pool area and beautiful grounds. The resort itself has condo's for rent and their are also privately owned ones for rent through vrbo.com.

We always stay at Maui Hill....I'd rather stay in a condo then a hotel.  You can buy groceries and save a lot of money cooking at the condo, wash your clothes/beach towels etc.
