I feel like all I hear or see in the news lately is so sad.  Recently found out an acquaintance from college died in a Motorcycle accident, had not seen the person in years but apparently he had just met the girl of his dreams...it makes you realize that your life can change in a heartbeat and we should cherish every moment we have...

    2010 was a real bad year for me. My dad had a heart attack extremely unexpectedly (He's fit, active, and eats decent) - and FI was diagnosed with kidney cancer within weeks of eachother.

    Since then - I've tried to live and enjoy every moment. So I'm doing laundry right now and I'm about to go get groceries - but at least I'm alive to do it and it's a beautiful day. :o)

    Obviously I'm human and hormonal - so I'm not always so positive..especially with abuela and school- but I try to experience and do as much as I can.

    I am so with you BrightFirefly! My 2011 was not the best.. My father also had an unexpected heart attack and just about 2 weeks later FI 33 year old brother died in a car accident.  So I also try to stay positive and enjoy every moment.  Some days that is harder then others but going through everything last year has really put some things into perspective for me.
