I know this is a confession thread, but I need to vent about why I am so angry with my pilot.

So in our office there are 4 people-  M my pilot who is in his 50s, C the other photog who is 32, Me (29) and Z the other pilot who is 26.

So M is constently making comments about how Z and I have either had a fling or will have a fling at some point.  I know he thinks this because we are both "young".  Yesterday I was bitching about something Z did and M's only response was to sing "YOUNG LOOOOVE, YOUNG LOOOOVE" and it really just rubbed me the wrong way.

THe age difference between Z and I is exactly the same between C and I, but C is married, so there will never be jokes about C and I having an affair.  Doesn't matter if I'm married, because I'm a "young girl" I cannot resist the temptation of Z.    Even when I was first hired for this job, I was supposed to fly with Z, but M switched the schedule around because he thought Z and I would get into some kind of relationship-- even though I was in a VERY commited relationship at that point, and M KNEW THIS.

    :::huff pufff::

    ok.  I'm better now.

BP--that's one thing I know I don't have to worry about with Gzilla.  He's a Junior... and he can't stand being mistaken for his dad all the time... and he doesn't like his name, so I don't have to talk him out of Gzilla III.

Amer- Ugh. I hate when older people (usually men) assume they're gonna play love connection. That used to happen with my old manager at the hardware store. I was one of like, 4 women out of 40 people that worked there, and he was scared to put me on the schedule with anyone my age because he was afraid we'd have some kind of an affair.

For real? I mean... I could have hit it off with a 60 year old... then what?

Next time he says that, you should look at M and say, 'No sweetie, it's you I'll have the steamy affair with. Z just doesn't do it for me'. Betcha that would shut him up...

Wait, don't do that. It could be deamed sexual harrassment. Actually, what he's doing to you could be deamed that too...

For the most part we have a good relationship-- he calls me his work wife and I call him PoppaBear.  It's just every once in a while he starts on this, and I don't know why.  I've told him multilple times that it upsets me, but i think he forgets.

eh.  Hopefully I won't have to work today and I'll calm down by Monday ;)

Amer--Sounds like M needs a punch in the face.  I'll volunteer.

I hate it when people do shiit like that.  It's not nearly as frustrating as your story... but I hate it when people ask me if I'm pregnant because I'm knitting.  No, jerk... it's an adult sweater.  For me.  I know this might come as a shock to all non-crafters, but women don't get pregnant and immediately start knitting.

Okay, I have tons of responses!
    1) The whole Jr,III, IV, etc -- I've dated both a Jr and a III, and both were tied to the idea of carrying on the names, which I didn't love until I learned about the nicknames! My college bf was the Jr, and if we had the III we could have called him Trey, which I lurved. Too bad I didn't lurve the guy as much!

    2) Dibs (and anyone else with social anxiety) -- I highly highly encourage that you think about speaking with a counselor. There are some great pharmatherapeutic options out there, but a counselor can help you learn to manage your anxiety and be more comfortable in social situations. In grad school I had a client with SAD and we were able to get her much happier without any kind of medicine.

    3) Amer -- maybe he's the one who really fantisizes about an affair with the 26 year-old? That's frustrating, is there a boss or HR person you could talk to if he doesn't knock it off.

    Confessions:

    1) I had an infuriating email this morning wherein someone insinuated that I wasn't doing my job. I was so mad. Luckily once I explained what was going on to the Dean and my boss, that person came off looking like a total dumb@ss. But I'm still livid. Go ahead and try to come to me for a favor in the future, let's see how far that gets you.

    2) I've been PMSing all week, and it's been brutal. Monday I was a b*tch on wheels, and at one point had to excuse myself from making a decision because I knew it was my PMS responding, not my rational self. Luckily it's calmed down since then, and the miracles of midol have been helping. Next week I'm definitely getting back on the healthy eating wagon!

    3) I've never ever wanted to be a runner (due to shin splints) until I learned about the Disney Princesses Half Marathon, which is being held this weekend. I am now going to train to run next year, and I'm actually excited about running. Anyone want to join? LRM? anyone?

Oh, I know.  And my husband tells me this often (he has a counseling degree).  But just the thought of picking up the phone, calling someone I don't know, and then talking all about myself sends my anxiety levels sky high.  I'm slowly preparing myself.  Like one day I'll look in our provider directory at people that are local.  Another day I might write names/numbers down.  Eventually I'll work up the stomach to start calling around.  Things like that.

Amer- I would go into biotch mode on his azz next time he made a crack like that to me. But it's TOM and I'm feeling particularly snarky right now.

I lost 2 lbs on WW this week. But all I want to do is stuff my face with junk.  Ever had frozen Cadbury Cream Eggs?  AMAZING.

Also, I had a buffalo chicken stuffed prezel and I want another one right now.

    I did notice.  haha

I confess that when my coworker asked me what kind of lifesavers were in my candy jar  (because he didn't like them) it took all the patience I could muster up to not respond very snarky.  They're strawberry lemonade because I like fruity candy not mint candy thankyouverymuch.

Yeah... I'm thisclose to throwing pens across my computer at my coworker because she slams her mouse around and clicks it 300x a second if the computer won't respond. That's when I know I'm pms-ing.

Well, that and all I want is a big greasy slice of pepperoni pizza.

I confess now that I haven't been drinking alcohol (not that I drank often before) it's really been bothering me noticing the frequency that my friends drink.  I want to shake a few of them and tell them to grow up and be responsible.  It's not cute to get f*cked up every weekend.

I confess that I'm constantly afraid I'm going to lose my ring or the diamond.  It's sized perfectly and is a quality piece of jewelry, so this fear is completely irrational, but to be responsible for something so expensive and meaningful is really scary.  Maybe it's just because I've never worn jewelry and it's going to take some getting used to?  Thank goodness it's insured!

I feel your pain. If we have a boy it wont be a II and III but it will be a JR. I want our son to have his OWN name.. Not always be  "Little" Charlie.... It's frustrating but a battle I know I wont win. Right now I am trying to Charles John so we can shorten it to CJ... So my DH can be Charlie and our "son" will be CJ... Or just keep my fingers cross that we have two girls.. ha ha

My car cost almost $500 last week for repairs and inspection.  DH just told me his car will cost over $1,000 today.  ::SOB:: ::SOB:: ::SOB::

We will be dining on ramen noodles and expired saltines for the next few months, just fyi.
