in Wedding Woes
every once in a while, i bust dh for chewing with his mouth open.  sometimes he defends himself by saying he just took a giant bite and therefore he needs the extra space open-mouth-chewing provides, but that it neither here nor there.

anyhoo, he told me that the other day, he had to take some consultants out to lunch.  these dudes are BFDs -- former white house people and other muckity mucks from capitol hill.

dh was HORRIFIED at their manners.  like, he barely ate because he was just staring at

consultant A licking his knife clean -- steak AND butter
consultant 1 picking bits out of his teeth and spitting the findings into his napkin
consultant star blew his nose at the table

i won't tell you what they did to the bread basket.

    Those consultants?  MY father.  It's disgusting.

    I don't understand how you can possibly shove that much food INTO your mouth and then proceed to push it around like a garbage disposal.  I hate sitting across from him, it's sick.  I love the man, but wow....nasty.

    really close friends of our are smacking eaters. I don't understand how this is accomplished.

    We had our retreat and one of the most dreaded aspects of the day was eating with my boss. She eats with her hands, with her mouth open and with food on her face. Couple this with standing too close to you and talking while eating...let's just say I've worn friend chicken more times than I care for. Also, she opened up the salsa and sour cream packets that came with her meal with her teeth.

    MIL blows her nose at the table and does that  shovethetissuecoveredfinger up the nose thing too.  Gross.

    Min, that is just sick.  You start wondering if these people *pointing at bad eaters* have had strokes and they just don't know it.  *boarding bus to hell*

    H usually has very good table/eating manners but give the man a piece of gum and whoah nelly!  He turns into a waitres at Mel's Diner.  I point this out and he is able to correct himself for the next 2-3 chews and then we are back to hitting on truckers.
