Chit chat anybody?

I just got home from a fun afternoon/evening. My 11 year-old cousin had her birthday party at a "real" castle tonight, so we went there for a while and then my parents took my family out for dinner since my sister and her H are home for the weekend. We went to this FABULOUS restaurant. It's one of my favorites, and hopefully who will be catering my wedding (if I ever get to actually plan a wedding, grrr).

By the way, sorry if I'm rambling. I might be KUI just a teensy bit.

I'm impressed by how many people are drinking tonight! Haha. My mom and I split a bottle at the restaurant, and I just finished my first glass since I got home. Debating if I want another one.

Well, we had 7 Deadly Zins at dinner. Now we're drinking Apothic Red (or something like that). My sister brought it with her from Alabama.

Oh I saw 7 Deadly Zins at the store the other day. I'm drinking some randomass sweet red table wine. Yum!

Hey just so everyone's clear, Hike is MIA until late tomorrow so she named me interim Mod. Be on your best fucking behavior.

It's absolutely different from regular behavior Mel. You're on the short list lady.....fucking behavior involves significantly more swearing, judging, side eyeing and snark. But in a manipulative, outwardly kind way.

I have only recently started drinking reds that I actually enjoy. I REALLY like "primitivo" which is a zin from some specific part of Italy. Think I'd like some or most other zins? What are they like? Peppery (ew)? Jammy (yum)?

LOL at Irish's comment about Smirnoff Ice. As for zins, I haven't tried too very many of them, but I think you would like at least 7 Deadly Zins. It's full-bodied, but I wouldn't call it peppery at all. Kind of sweet without it being overpowering. Just overall yum. I'm terrible at trying to describe wines though. I don't know a whole lot about it, I just know what I like. And I'm odd because I've always liked reds way better than whites. I blame it on our family vacation to Italy when I was 19.

Yes, but I also know that I have plenty of people who would tell me if I was going to get into trouble with it. I have friends that refuse to drink because of alcoholism in the family, and more power to them. It's just not gonna be what I do.

Not for me. A friend said something about her drinking that bothered me. She's had family members drink themselves to death.

H isn't a drinker so we don't keep a lot of alcohol in the house. But I wouldn't drink while pregnant. That's really stupid

Irish- Monday actually! I just finished pediatrics, and I start surgery on Monday. I'm a little excited and a little scared all at the same time. Last time I was in an OR, I passed out in the middle of surgery. I don't wanna be that girl!
