With 16 days to go, it's time to make arrangements to have my dress steamed. Naturally, I call the place where I purchased it for an appointment. Unlike many bridal shops, David's charges for steaming but I was cool with that. The first thing they ask was whether the dress has been altered ...... yes..... and whether they were done at David's...... no..... They can't steam dresses that have been altered someplace else. Company policy. They don't want to be responsible for somebody else's alterations.
Well if your alterations prices weren't so outrageous, I would've gotten them done there. *throws down toys and leaves the sandbox*
Off to the dry cleaners we go. Luckily, I overheard a salesperson in a high end bridal salon pass along the name of the only dry cleaner they trust, as well as the specific person to ask for a while back. Now let's see if I can find that slip of paper I discreetly wrote it down on.
