Signature Drink Ideas?

Hi Knotties!

We are planning an outdoor, rustic style wedding on 8-3-13 on a farm in Rhode Island. We are going to have 2 signature drinks, a peach margarita and one other but we dont know what yet. The food is a make your own taco and fajita bar with lots of rustic fixens. We want the other drink to be something that could be called the grooms drink and be in the pink/peach color family - and it has to be something easy to pre mix so we can put it in a large glass container. Suggestions?

Thanks

White sangria is a great idea! Perfect with a taco bar.

  • Mojitos aren't pink, but they sure are refreshing in the summer and go really well with Mexican food.
  • We got married in August 2011 and had "Loaded Lemonade" that our bartender pre-made. It was lemon vodka and Lemonade, a nice refreshing drink in August, and easy.
  • You may want to consider a "groom's drink" that ISN'T pink/peach in color, as men don't typically lean toward what they call "girly drinks".

Since you already have a peach margarita (I'm assuming as the "bride's drink") then you could offer, as PP has suggested, either a Mai Tai, Mojito, or Spiked Lemonade. These options wouldn't be pink/peach and may come off a little more "guy friendly".

    Just a thought.

  • Have you thought about a spiked ice tea or lemonade? They look really pretty in those big jugs (you could do pink lemonade if you want that color) and you can put lemon slices in them - it makes a nice display! My friends did this at their wedding and they put signs in front of the different jugs that said like "lemondae" "lemonade with a little kick" and "lemonade with a punch" or something - it marked the different amounts of alcohol in each one.

It was really refreshing and made a pretty display!
  • I've getting married in RI and one of our signature drinks is Del's Lemonade (with Blueberry vodka).  I like that it had regional ties and the guests can choose to add the vodka or not.  I've been to a few weddings with this drink, and it was a huge hit.  All you have to do is go to your local Del's and purchase a large gallon(s) - this can all be arranged with the manager ahead of time.  Good luck!
