DJs

Hello all :)

Would anyone like to recommend their DJ/DJ company?  I'm currently looking at EBE Entertainment, which was recommended by my venue.  Has anyone had any experience with them?

Thanks in advance!

We used Greg Schubert from The Untouchables.  Our guests thought he was great.  Played great music and did not hog the mic.  He is out of Hatfield.  He did a great job for both our ceremony and reception.  I thought his prices were good too!

Center Stage Entertainment. They are wonderful. They are out of South Jersey though. I was recently at a wedding with No Macarena there and they were a little cheesy in my opinion. They weren't bad but they didn't seem to have it all together. They screwed up the intros pretty bad too. Not a good way to start the night.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like No Macarena, jamonit.  We used Kim, the owner, if that helps the OP avoid someone who might not be great.  She's the former program director at XPN. We were a bit picky with music, and she totally "got" us and the kind of atmosphere we were looking for.  In terms of MCing, she was great - did the intros and other announcments as asked and then just spun some great tunes for the rest of the night.  We had a few guests afterwards tell us it ws the best job of wedding DJing that they had experienced, which meant a lot to me.

I went to a wedding more out in central PA not long ago where the DJ playing a Fischer Price guitar and air saxophoned to Kenny G for a while.  He also had a reversible vest that changed from black (for dinner) to sparkly with  musical notes (for the PAR-TAY).  As long as you don't hire him I think you're OK :)

DJ Your Way with Chris. He was amazing! Great personality, nice strong voice, enthusiastic and full of energy to keep your guests pumped and excited. He really reads the crowd to know what to play next and mixes the songs so that the beat doesn't stop and keeps your guests on the dance floor. He def. sticks to your play list and do not play list too. I loved him, he was awesome.

DJ's Available.  I used Joe Moser who was great!  Really good at his job, and a good personality too (not that he talked on the mic all night or anything)... he was just really easy to work with.  DJ's Availabld hold showcases regularly where you can see and pick the DJ you like.  They also have intros/videos on their website, and you can even google some of their DJ's to see more.

We're using Michael Kane from Silver Sound - I researched a ton of DJ companies in the area and he just seemed to really click with us. I looked into EBE and they were a little off-putting. The manager kept trying to bully me into booking two DJs when I only wanted one. Good luck!

We are using DJ DeeJay. He is a friend of ours but he does weddings all the time. We wanted to use him because we trust him not to play the super cheesey stuff (I mean its a wedding, some sort of cheesey stuff is ok), he wont be on the mic all night long, and he really knows what to play to make people dance. He is the DJ that does MMP and BBG

We're using Cutting Edge Entertainment for our DJ. They bring a DJ and separate MC to each wedding and have pretty reasonable packages. They've been good to work with so far, but our wedding is 6+ months away!
