Getting in Shape

so sad!

I've hit another roadblock and it's sooooooo frustrating.
I've been doing awesome working out for the last 3.5 months and I'm finally seeing  a bit of progress. So I must have managed to injure myself during my Sat. workout and one of my calves is soooooo sore. I was going to run today anyways, but on the advice of some coworkers (who are runners) I took another day off (which is KILLING ME!).
I ended up going for a 30min walk tonight but don't want to push it too much... it's just so frustrating to finally feel I'm getting somewhere and then I can't work out as much or do the workouts I'd like. Grrrr
here's hoping for a VERY speedy recovery!

  • That is really frustrating.  I've been there, and it sucks.  But it's better to take a few extra days off now than make it worse and need to take even more time off!  Can you do something else in the meantime?  Maybe bike if that doesn't hurt? 

    Also, if you're trying to lose weight, remember that weight loss is mostly what you eat.  Exercising is important for so many reasons, but just because you're having a work out set back doesn't mean you can't continue to make progress with your nutrition and weight loss (if that's your goal).  Hope you feel better soon!
