Work out / Weight Loss Wednesday!

I've been such a slacker since my 5K Saturday!  No gym, no running, but I have been eating well... even trying new recipes!  No change in weight loss.

    I got back on the wagon on Sunday. Used my elliptical for half an hour two of the last three days and started tracking my caloric intake again, I'm only looking to lose a max of ten pounds, but I'm excited to start exercising regularly again!
    It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

  • I'm doing really well with the exercise and eating healthy, which is hard since I make different meals than myself from FI, but i just keep telling myself "wedding dress/honeymoon" over and over again!

    I ran 3.5 miles outside on Monday, last night I went to my strength and tone class and tonight is interval training=)

    I'm keeping my weigh in day to once a week so I dont get disappointed, that will be Friday, hopefully the scale moves and I can report next week!

    Back on the wagon as of Monday. I'm trying to get to the gym 3 times this week, I've been once so far, and I'm trying out MyFitnessPal for tracking. I'm kind of considering going back to Weight Watchers since it's worked well for me in the past, but I hate to spend the money. Tough call...any thoughts?

  • I'm back on track as of Monday too--had to start over on my c5k program, but I ran outside last night instead of the treadmill and I LOVED it!!  Now I'm looking forward to my run tonight instead of dreading it.  Back to tracking on myfitnesspal also.  we have our e-photos mid may so i'm trying to use that as a closer motivation than october!
    pocky, as for doing ww again--it worked well for me the first time too but did not work any of the several times that i went back.  i think ww taught me a lot about eating healthy, portion control, etc. but now there's not much more they can teach me.  and the accountability etc that it gives i've just had to find elsewhere (for free).  just a thought!!

  • I haven't noticed any weight loss yet this week but its all that time of the month for me.. I have been eating pretty well this week with the exception of last nights nuggets for dinner and worked out Monday and again tonight. Hoping to lose at least one pound this week. I have started to notice my pants fitting are fitting a little loser now. Major plus!!!

  • I'm down about 3 pounds, but am hoping for more. I figure that my wedding dress fits, so it isn't as if I need to do anything drastic. I would like to tone up my arms and continue a sane amount of weight loss. I'm upping my water and veggie intake and spending 45-60 minutes at the gym four times a week.

    Luckily, it has been unseasonably warm in Cincinnati (mid-80s for the past two weeks) so I am not craving all those rich winter dishes that were my undoing. On to fish and salads! Hooray!

    I thought I was hitting a little platau with my weight loss but when I went to my Dr's on monday I was down another 5 lbs over that last month, better then nothing :-)  Gotta get my head back in the game and finish off my last 59 lbs!  Going back to measuring all my meals this week.  Hoping to see some faster results.

  • I've been pushing myself in getting to the gym but haven't lost a lot of weight yet.  Still working on it!

  • I bought a Zumba game for the Wii last Friday and I've used it a couple of times since then. And I walked my mom's dogs yesterday (and jogged a little with each of them), so I've definitely increased my activity level. I just need to work on the food thing. I'm slowly increasing my water intake & trying to make sure I eat more veggies.

    As of Saturday I was down 7 pounds.  Then it was St. Patrick's day weekend and I did partake and not eat as well as I should have, but I didn't go over board and feel stuffed like I have in the past.  Then I was sick for 2 days, yuck.  I went back to tracking my calories on my fitness pal and finally joined the Y.

    Pocky-  WW did not really work for me I felt like I was paying and not losing any weight.  MFP works better for me and it is free.

    For those of you who are tracking calories how often do you go over and how much?

    I am usually pretty close to my calorie numbers but today I went over by like 250 and didn't do any exercise, even having joined the gym, whatever.


    ETA  :  Mana- did you post about your 5k?  How did it go?

  • @ Kimm260-- I use MFP and I love it. There's really only 2 days a week I come close to or do go over by a couple points, usually not more then 50 over though. The nights I'm in school are rough since I go right from work to class and don't get home till 9:30. Those are also the nights I don't work out. I have lost 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks though between working out 60 mins 2 times a week and watching my calories.

  • I'm at at standstill and it's driving me nuts, I should get back on my fitness pal, I think it'd help at least.  Still about 15 lbs to go but it's been like that for 4 months! But I am fitting in to more clothes.  I need to get to the gym more, just been running and swimming every now and then.  I keep thinking this is the week I get serious and get up early to swim before work and then I change the alarm clock and go back to sleep! I bailed on my run today, got home late from work and decided to check my email etc and then it got dark and windy and I got hungry.  So tomorrow I'll get in a short run at least and then Saturday is long run day.
