Marissa - that totally blows. I love Ash Wednesday. Maybe you can find a fellow Catholic that will go to mass with you???

Don't let the oil man bring you down.

The Hawaii board has a "Vendor Bio" sticky that I found very helpful when tentatively looking for a photographer out there (different story)
I think that it would be great to have everyone's vendor info somewhere. When I first came on here I spent hours trying to go through everyone's bio and most I could not access. That is why I did the poll... Also, I would like to suggest that instead of asking for a vendor that is reasonable priced to give a more specific number. Some people think spending $1k on flowers is reasonable where as I think that $500 for flowers is reasonable.  Just my opinion.
    Posted by vkmwedding
Yeah..but people will ALWAYS ALWAYS ask a question and then not give us an idea of their budget.  It's just how it goes.  Sometimes in the heat of a moment you're not thinking "Oh, the guest count or the budget or the style of my wedding is important to the question I'm asking".  So I don't think that's ever going to get fixed.  Yes, it's annoying, but at the same time not a big deal...kind of like asking about about a makeup and hair artist 3 times in the span of a week. :)  I realize I sounded like a total b**** in my last post.  Really, if I think back I thought everything had to be done right then when I was planning my wedding and so I can understand if she felt the need to use "!!!".  haha

And as far as having everyone vendors in one location-that's what the DFW Knottie bio is for.

Just because I felt what I spent on my flowers was reasonable (my bouquet was awesome!) doesn't mean that someone with a smaller or larger budget couldn't use my florist.  If I tell you that I paid $1000 on my flowers, that doesn't mean that my florist should be crossed off anyone's list.

Agreed. And everytime I've asked for people to e-mail their vendors I'll have maybe one person respond.

Exactly, Allison.  Which is why I think, even if I made it a "sticky" post, we'd still be asked the same questions.

So basically, it's just the way it goes.  You can't change it.

I think part of the problem is no one new knows about the DFW Knottie Board unless they happen to see BalletBride post.  No one has a link to it anymore.

I agree though, they will still ask.  I was most likely an annoying asker too at first, I know. I stalked for a while though so I knew to check posts first.

I'm just low on patience lately, never mind me guys, sorry.  :(

It's Ok, Tiffany.  We ALL have those days!

Haha, I think I'm having one of THOSE months.   I don't know what happened to kind and patient Tiffany, I think she checked out.  :)

I have a feeling my taxes are going to be a huge headache this year. I was on unemployment with no taxes withheld (I didn't know there was an option to withhold), then I became a contractor, which will require a fat tax, then I finally received back wages from November 08 from my former employer in December with no taxes withheld. I don't even know what kind of tax form I'm supposed to receive for something like that. *freaking sigh*

    Mariah,
I'm addicted to Phase 10 and Words with Friends.  Those are my two faves so far.  In addition to Facebook that is.  :-)

I had no idea there was a DFW Knottie Bio and I've been lurking since May and posting since July.  I thought I kept up with the board... sorry :(

I also get annoyed with repeat posts.  I understand that people often see these boards as a "post and run", but it doesn't take much effort to scroll down.

Steph... you did a "what's your vendor" post when I was still a lurker and it helped the CRAP outta me.  I've thought that many times.
