This is something I've mulled over for years actually. It stems from a joke my mother made at one point, that married people should have a shower after 25 years to update their stuff. It is kind of a funny thought, but yet makes sense in the fact that the new towels, new bedding, etc. go by the wayside when life interferes (kids, work, etc.). My parents have now been married 44 years. Would it ever be appropriate to throw a shower for a long-married couple? What does E say?
I have no plans to do this. I'm just curious.
Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.
