When are David's Bridal's sales?

I have seen so many posts about girls who got a killer deal on a dress from David's Bridal during one of their sales.  I am not getting married until August 2011 so I have plenty of time to hold out for a good sale.  Does anyone know when their best sales are?

Re: When are David's Bridal's sales?

  • They are doing one now, but I think they do 3 or 4 a year, so you should have plenty of chances.  Watch online and watch for the commercials.

  • If you haven't already done so, register on their website and you will receive e-mail notifications.  I believe they're currently running a $99 gown sale through May 24.
  • They always have $99 dresses (these are the discontinued styles) but during the sale they pull more and do more at $99.  Also, just as a rep. they mark down all their gowns that are discontinued, even the Oleg's.
  • I bought my dress in August of 2008 for my August 2009 wedding and they were having a sale at that time as well...I believe they have one in August.  I saved $300 on my dress.
  • They normally do thier sales a few times a year. I actually bought my dress and a week later, they had thier $99 sale. I actually found my dress marked $200 less, showed them my receipt, and they ended up giving me the differences.

I actually love david's bridal! I found them to be very helpful and accommadating. Good luck!

Another tip - if you attend a bridal show in your area that they are at, they will give out additional $50 off coupons, and let you use them with the discounts during the sale. I thought that was really nice, and I ended up saving $250 on my dress even though it was a new style and from their Galina line (which is supposedly one of their 'higher-end' lines).

ETA: Oh, and I'd wait until at least 12-8 months before the wedding before you go shopping.
