Budget South Beach wedding?

Hi,  I'm new to this site.. my fiance prosposed to me on the beach in South Beach Friday night.  This was our first vacation 5 yrs. ago too.  We would love to get married in 1-2yrs on the beach (in South Beach).   It would be a small wedding of 20-40 people (give or take).  Does anyone have any advice if we are trying to do it on a budget?  If we could just have the ceremony on the beach and reception indoors at a nice restaurant, we'd be happy with that.  I'm assuming a hotel would be too expensive for a small guest list?

Congrats and welcome to the board! Budget can mean many different numbers. I had trouble looking in South Beach with my small guest list of 65 as Miami is just more expensive. I would start googling restaurants in the area you are looking for, maybe walking distance from the beach. Dream South Beach is new, has a restaurant or rooftop area that might work within a budget. I specifically looked for restaurants with private rooms, inside hotels on the water, but separate from the hotel lol HTH and good luck!

As far as resturants I know things change alot but look around there are tons and they were all really fast at getting back to me with pricing... funny enough like pp china grill on sb was one of my choices :)

Raul only handles beach permits but would not be bald to help in any wedding planning or coordination. I would suggest contacting a local planner and have them work with you on your budget and needs. Otherwise it may be very hard to get the best deals especially not being local. My girlfriend planned her wedding from NY without ever coming once with an event firm I am using them too now even though I am local. I am using alore events try them and see if that would help. :)www.eventsbyalore.com

Oh that's awesome.  Thank you :-)  That would actually be great if we didn't have to make trips down there for the planning.
