Re: Morning!!!

• That rabbit reminds me of when I used to try to flatiron my hair in the summer. Same results.

Snippy, I think Nicki and I need to meet you out for drinks in August.

Yes, like those little colorful pots with a flowering cactus or something similarly easy to take care of/pretty.
Good Morning! I'm birthday shopping for myself. Ok, I'm finding what I want and sending it to H so he can get it for me. Nerd Alert- I want a necklace with the deathly hallows on it. I wanted it when we went, but we couldn't find one. I'm having a hard time finding one that I like. Sigh. Aleigh- I don't think I had to wait for the actual SS card to come in to change my name. All I needed was my updated license and my marriage license to change a lot of my stuff.
Posted by Beaniebeach
Don't you have to have the SS card to update your license?

• There is nothing wrong with being a NERD.
• I just saw a picture on fb of a dachshund nursing puppies and a baby pig. Holy crap, cute.

• So this guy I went to school with is swimming in the Olympic Trials and got 6th place out of 127 in 100m backstroke and is going to the finals tonight. How cool is that?

Agree. Of course, I'm married to a physics/robotics teacher so I might be slightly biased. ;-)

• I bought a necklace in a non-Disney store in Downtown Disney on our HM for the sole reason that it resembles the rose from Beauty and the Beast. H calls it "Belles necklace".

It's not the best picture but it's red and actually looks like a real rose with layers and everything.
• IIRC, Aleigh, I was given a "temporary" SS card at the office (that had my number on it), and all I needed was that and my marriage license to change my driver's license. But that was over a year ago, and I was sick as a dog at the time (great point to decide to take my license picture again, I don't know what I was thinking), so my memory is a little fogged.

• Aleigh, that is REALLY cool! I love the Olympics. Knowing someone so close to them would be awesome!
• Good morning ladies. I don't have too much going on today, just a meeting tonight. I started P90X yesterday so I'll have to do that later, and possibly weed whack. Big plans over here!

I'm still upset over what I found in my yard yesterday. Monday night we had a storm go through with really high winds that threw sticks all over. I was picking up sticks before cutting the grass and found a dead baby bird in the yard. Walking to get a bag to put it in I found another one. Then another one still. 3 dead baby birds in my yard, and then I found the nest on the ground too, so I think the nest fell/was thrown out of the tree during the storm and the baby birds died. I feel soo bad, and then think about the mama bird who is probably heartbroken. I know I'm ridiculous, but yeah.

Also, side note, picking up dead animals out of the yard is definitely supposed to be a husband job.

• Very cool Aleigh. I am looking forward to watching the Olympics.

• Awww, Beachy :( I don't blame you for still feeling sad. I'd feel the same way.

• Sorry Beachy :(

I am terrified (and hate them) of birds and I would still be sad.

When we got back from MN a couple of weekends ago, we found one all smashed up in the grill of the car. It was terrible.

• That's awesome Aleigh. I love seeing hometown guys make it big. There's a guy from my high school in the NBA and one in the NFL now, with a Superbowl ring. Both were years after me in school, but I graduated with the NFL player's brother and they are a super nice family so I really love seeing him do so well.

• Here's hoping you escape it, Rach. Summer colds are the worst :(

• Aw Rach, feel better! Summer colds suck. At least in the winter you can cuddle up with some hot soup/tea and a blanket. Not quite as possible in the summer.
• H has a summer cold right now. He's handling it pretty well though.

Beachy, I'd feel the same way. I still get the sads sometimes when I remember that my dad accidently killed some baby bunnies mowing the grass one day several years ago. It was so sad.
• OMG, between baby birds, squirrels, and bunnies being mauled, this thread is awful. :(

• Adamar, it's really weird. The house is kind of built into a hill, so half of it is kind of ground level, the other half is pure basement. There are water makrs on the walls from all the flooding.

Aleigh, I was on the swim team with Ryan Lochte. I didn't know him well, more knew of him since he was one of the best, only talked to him a few times. But it's cool seeing him in the news with Phelps and on magazine covers since I "know" him.
• Ack, now I'm picturing baby bunny...pieces flying everywhere. Gross.

We're possibly only days away from my SIL having her baby. I'm dying to know if the baby is a ginger or not :)

• Morning! I went to my boot camp class again this morning. I know it's not much of an accomplishment, but I am proud of myself for actually waking up at 4:45 and getting there. To me, that's the hardest part.

I can't wait for the weekend. I'm going to see my parents to celebrate my birthday. H will be in Savannah for a bachelor party, so it will be nice to get to spend some QT with the folks.

Inevntory week at work. Nothing like counting every single peice of wood in our 63,000 sq. foot warehouse Undecided
Bunch of downers. :( Poo little animals. Can I just stay home and knot all day? That would be fun. So, for those who are interested, I think I might be flying out to see the boy over Labor Day weekend.

Rachers, I know. It's awesome that we get the 4th off, but at the same time, it's in the middle of the week, so what can you really do?
A - that's exciting! I think ginger babies are precious. I'm trying to decide if I want to take Thursday and Friday off next week and have a mini vacation at home. I don't really have anything to do though so I'm starting to think I will just work instead. I hate when the 4th falls in the middle of the week. ALSO. Can someone explain to me why there is a new Spiderman movie? Were the 3 before not enough?
Posted by rachers1017
I was so pissed before I saw the trailer for the new one because they seriously just did this superhero. Pick a new one. Buuuttt the trailer looks so amazing that even though I love the most recent set, I think this one is going to blow them all out of the water. I'm a nerd.

So they're making it because people will watch it and they'll make money.
• Crfb, I like the sound of that, "flying out to see the boy". Very fun!
• Yay Chrissy! Very exciting! :)

Gurr, I consider that a massive accomplishment. Mornings and I do not get along.
