Hi Everyone- after looking around, I think we know that we would liket o spend about $3500 on photography. I think we should eb able to find someone good at that price (of course I would love one of those $6k guys, but I think $3500 should work fine).
I know someone mentioned Sean Patrick, and I see Jason Rhee mantioned in a bunch of places. Can you shar your experiences with either of these? OR recoend soeone else that can fit into our budget?
TIA

LOVE THEM!
Back when we were shopping photographers, we looked at Jason and really liked his work at the time. I still get updates from his blog and I feel like his recent work isn't quite as good or creative as it used to be. It's mentioned here from time to time that he can be very slow about getting his work out: the initial set of images as well as completed albums. It is probably owing to the incredible volume that he takes on (he told us that he shoots 50 weddings/year plus other work). I've been kinda wondering if that hasn't also been a drag on his photographic work. Just me thinking aloud.
He has 4 different levels to choose from starting around $1900. You're able to add a la carte items, as well. For instance, we chose the 3rd level, but upgraded our album for $x amount of dollars and added in an engagement session.
He has a very natural feel, nothing too posed/formal which wanted (altho, of course, we'll have some posed pics w/ family), and has worked with our venue many times which was a huge plus.
Here are the links to my photos if you'd like to see his work:
(A+) Jason showed up on time and immediately go to work taking the detail photos. He made everybody feel relaxed and at ease taking pictures. My parents, family and all of the bridal party commented on how much they loved him. He was funny, quick, and efficient. I cannot WAIT to see our photos, and I know they will be amazing.
ETA: It took 6 weeks until he had some photos up on his blog, and 8 weeks until I received all of the proofs and online gallery.
In the end, I really don't think that's unreasonable. While I would've liked to have them sooner, it is not excessively long.
[QUOTE]We are using Kate Connolly Photography. She is awesome and all her pictures have a very natural feel to them.
