  • Lobsters - Congrats on almost being done with Phase 2!! I only made it 6 weeks last time i tried!

    Thanks to all for the nighttime munchie stopper suggestions! I have the same issue so I will give them a try!

    Last night was night #2 for 10 Minute Trainer. I only did 2 videos last night because i can barely walk after day 1!!!! I feel guilty about only doing 2 videos but today i REALLY can't walk that well. my legs are killing me! i've taken advil and it doesn't help. I feel like it might be in my best interest to take tonight off while my body adjusts to the new program but I feel super guilty about doing it. Maybe I can find an upper body workout to do instead? sigh. any suggestions/support would be helpful!

    Im having a bad day-super grumpy from the nicotine withdrawal/ antibiotic reactions and just generally pissy. my coworkers are being so great about it thankfully. I dont even want to be around myself right now and they are being champs to put up with me.

    Last night I was still not well enough to work out but we did go on a long walk which was nice. And we decided to sign up for a pick up baseball team....I havn't played baseball since I was maybe 14 so we will see how it goes...first game is tonight.

    fingers crossed tomorrow is better day :)

  • Newbie here :) Just started my weight loss plan on tuesday and yesterday I really got into the groove of it. I live right next to the Nike World Headquarters in beaverton, OR and they have a track that runs around the campus thats just under 2 miles with lots of inclines and such. Walked that yesterday afternoon and then, when my guy got off work at 11pm, we both went to our apartments gym. 10 minutes of stretching, 30 minutes on the stationarry bike, 15 minutes of weights and 10 minute cool down and simple stretches. I felt great afterwards! My thighs were burning lol but I was very proud of myself :) Been doing good when it comes to eating and snacking so far, string cheese - one piece of turkey jerky - a few carrots - nut clusters - fruits and veggies. My main meals the past two days have kinda consisted of 6 inch subway subs; chicken breast on 9grain honey oat with spinach, olives, avocado and LIGHT sweet onion sauce. Last night we went to the store and bought whole grain peta bread and all the fixings to make my own version of my favorite sub :) Gonna try it out for lunch. Today I am debating on whether or not I want to walk around Nike....or go to the gym and just use the treadmill lol 

    The one thing I keep thinking about however: My guy and i are night owls and we like going to the gym late at night since he gets off work late and no one is there to get in our way. But after we are done....we come home and have a light dinner. We stay up for at least an hour or two after but I am just wondering if eating so late, even after a work out and such, is good. Or will it come back to bite me in the rear when I am stepping on that scale?

    I took a hip hop dance class today - holy workout!  I was DRENCHED when I left.  I wanted to give up about halfway through (I haaaate sweating!) but I stuck it out.  :)

  • It should be okay just eat small, low fat, and high protein. Can you eat before and just have a tiny snack after?

  • I think I WILL be making my own dinner before we workout so I won't feel so bad afterwards lol.
