Happy Friday! (except you strange Canadians.)

Any Black Friday shopping plans out there? H and I are trying to decide whether or not to go to Best Buy for one of their laptops/netbooks.... but I don't want to stand outside for a couple hours when it's supposed to be like 10 degrees.

Godd morning!

I'm planning on shopping on Black Friday. FI and I are buying a new tv for our bedroom and that's our gift to each other. Plus, I always get my shopping done on BF. I think it's worth it to try and get a netbook, Steph, unless you can find equally good deals online with free shipping. I love my netbook and depend on it for everything.

That's what I really want, but I don't think I can justify the price tag.... even though we do have some cash from wedding gifts still. I dunno. My computer is going to die on me any day, now, I can just feel it.

HAPPY FRIDAY! I'm so happy it's a short week.

No Black Friday shopping for me. I refuse to go anywhere near a store after Thanksgiving. Thank god we have Friday off because I work right up the street from a mall.

Good morning! It's my Saturday woo! No work until Monday!

H is braving early Black Friday shopping for a Dyson. God I want that thing so bad!! The plan was his brother and dad were going to go with him because they had a list of stuff to get too but it sounds like his brother is trying to back out. If he does I'll be outside of Target bright and early.... lol it'll be worth it though. After that it'll be clothes shopping with MIL and SIL after breakfast.

I am kinda pissed off with the OP from the FML post below...I didn't read it til this morning but it made me angry...I wish she would come back and just say exactly why she has to have her church wedding...it's like I need her to own up to how wrong it is, which I know is petty...

Good morning! Happy Hump Day to my fellow Cannucks.

I'm taking off from work at 11am today to have my eyebrows tamed and get a hair cut. Then, I'm off to the paint-your-own-pottery studio to make up a gift for a different SS exchange. Then, I'm going home and making Smoky Bacon-Ginger cookies to bring to the BBQ we're having at work tomorrow in honour (or should I say "honor"?) of your TG!

Phew. That sounds like a lot.

Today tomorrow and friday are going to suck BALLS for me. All of my normal work load comes from the sales guy and hes decided they are leaving mid day today to get to his IL's place in pittsburg so that means I will probably have very little to do of my normal work for the next 3 days. That also means, I will have to do other tasks within the company which I dont like and which I dont "really" know how to do yet so I have to train and its so fucking mindnuming. I wish I could get freeby days off because he isnt there. Shoot me.

Good Morning! Happy Friday/Hump Day

I am NOT black friday shopping. At least I don't think I am. H wants a cordless drill and that's about it, so I don't think I'll brave the crowds just for that. I really want a Dyson too, Shay. But my awesome aunt and uncle keep dropping hints that they're buying one for us for Christmas, so I'd hate to miss that.

Good Morning ladies!

Today is my Friday and I only have to work till lunch, woohoo!

I had a great workout this morning. I surprisingly didn't get bored while I was running (I loathe cardio), so that felt nice to get it out of the way without really realizing it. I must have a lot on my mind with the upcoming holidays.

The only thing I'll be shopping for on Black Friday is a Christmas tree and maybe a few ornaments. FI and I won't be celebrating Christmas till he gets back from his deployment, so that kinda makes me sad.

I am planning on trading my car in this weekend. I loooooove my Audi, but living in South Florida is really hard on it (I've had to dump about $2000 into since I moved here a year ago) and I figure if I go with a domestic car, at least FI will know how to fix it should anything go wrong with it. As it is right now, anytime it needs a bulb replaced or its oil changed, FI looks at me and says "Ugh! I hate your stupid terrorist car, everything is backwards!". So yeah....I'm looking into getting a Ford Fusion, 2007 or newer.

mehgank, I have a fusion and love it! Awesome gas mileage and huge trunk. We were actually able to haul H's new shed home in my car with the seats down ha ha ha.

I officially take back half of the stuff I said about Fi's GW yesterday. We were packaging cookies until midnight, and still have more to do today. The amount of work she put in to them is phenomenal, and I just can't be mad at that. We will finish the packaging today and I'll AW the pictures this afternoon. They are shortbread with lavender and tequila, with a stencil (hand made, several times) of a bride and groom kissing. The packagine is way over the top, but for the amount of work she put in to those cookies (5 test batches, carrying them on a plane from Charlotte, etc) they deserve to be packaged well. All told she spent $800+ on 100 cookies and packaging, and she and her BF spent countless hours perfecting them, just because they wanted them to be nice. Her BF even printed the cookie recipe so our guests can take a recipe card if they want to. So I apologized to FI for freaking out.

I still haven't seen the dress though.

Oh, and we dropped off all the dishes, glassware, linens, centerpieces, and silverware at the venue last night. The coordinator then bought it all from me. I probably could have gotten a little bit more, but basically I bought everything for less than it would cost to rent it, and then sold it to her for a little less than half what I paid for it. I think we did pretty well! AND we don't have to worry about someone packing it all up and having to cart it away afterwards and then dealing with Craigslist.

So yeah, 3 more days. Im All Wedding, all the time. I apologize.

SARAH! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEKEND! yay! Are you getting excited now? or still stressed/nervous?

Mehgan- I have a 2008 Fusion and I love it. Lots. It doesn't get great gas mileage, though I drive it in the city (like, never above 40mph to work and back.) I think it averages around 25-26mpg for me in the city. When I drive back to WI, though it does get close to 30-32mpg at least! Everyone who rides with me comments on how comfortable/smooth it is, too. I know this isn't a problem for you, but its' been below 10* here the last few days and it starts up right away, no problems. I think that's a testament to the good engine at least

Once we dropped everything off and went to pay for the liquor last night, I felt like a weight was lifted. I still have a gift to get, and I need to wrap some and pick up some shoes for the FG, but other than that I'm done. My sister and I will be cooking some stuff for Thanksgiving tomorrow morning, so it should be fun.

Well I officially have a huge cold sore on my bottom lip, and DH comes home tomorrow after being overseas for 8 days, FML. I have to work Friday and I have to be here early. I cant get away from the mall....I work here. So yeah it will be a fun day.

I admire the bravery of those of you that go shopping on BF, really. I don't even like dealing with shopping any other day of the year. I'm fairly certain that I'd end up in jail for assault and battery if I were to venture out and deal with the hordes of enthusiatic shoppers.

Happy Friday my ass.

WAY too much work to be done tomorrow to consider it a weekend.

I'm not sure yet whether I'll be hitting up the Black Friday sales. i suppose I should take a peek at the ads and figure out where I need to be. Anyone know of a place where computer games like StarCraft will be on super sale? The normal price of $50 is a little steep but if I could get it for cheaper, i might consider it.

I'm going shopping with a friend on Friday. Kohl's opens at 3 am, and JCPenney at 4. Those are right next to where I live, so I might look at their ads and see if there is anything I must have. Definitely going to Target though. I'm thinking I will be totally over the madness after an hour or so though.

Thanks for the advice on the Fusion ladies! I'm looking forward to it, actually.

The only thing I'm really going to miss about my Audi (besides the compliments and admiration from others) is the get-up-and-go factor of it since it has a turbo, and you kinda need that to get around Miami without being run off the highway by insane drivers.

I swear, the drivers in Miami must eat a big plate of retard sandwiches before they hop behind the wheel. It's frightening.

Good Morning! And Happy Friday! (LOL)

We have 3 hours until vacation begins! Half day of school!!!

Of course, my sister and I went grocery shopping last Saturday and yet she still needs me to go to the store after I get off work. I passed by a grocery store at 7:30 this morning and the lot was PACKED already. I should have followed my first mind and bought the milk and bread when we were there. Can you tell I am really pissed about this? Her husband ate all the bread this week eating sandwiches. Ugh!!
