Happy Tuesday

Good morning ladies.

I have already been at work for an hour. I sincerely hate 9-hour days. All because of crazy FMIL. FI is really lucky he's so amazing that I put up with this crap.

anyway, just bored so feel free to chat.

    I am just getting to work, I like getting here early so that I can get some personal stuff done. I picked FI up a gift card on the way into work, so now i'm officially done with all Christmas shopping! 

    Wow I couldn't work with my FMIL!

    Good morning!

    Just finished eating breakfast in the cafeteria (usually just eat a yogurt at my desk but I'm feeling work-lazy this week), now I need to try to focus on getting some work done!...even though I don't have enough to really keep me occupied the whole day...can't it just be friday already?!

    Oh no, I don't work with her. Thank god. No, she's planned her christmas celebration around her daughter's boyfriend's kids because she's trying to be "the grandmother her kids never had." Despite the fact that these girls already have 3 sets of grandparents already.

    First she wanted me to skip work and she'd reimburse me for the time I wouldn't be getting paid for. I said no, because I'm a contractor and my boss is already nice enough to allow me to rearrange my schedule to take afternoons off sometimes when he doesn't have to. So instead, I get to work 9 hour days through thursday to recoup the time I'm going to be taking off for no apparent reason since the kid's biological mother wants them home before dark and they live 1.5 hours away.

    I'm miffed about the whole situation so I'm not entirely sure why I'm even bothering.

    I've been at work for almost 2 hours now.... I dont really mind it, since I get off at 4... But as far as working with my FMIL, I think it would be a BLAST!!!! However, she is AWESOME, and we get along perfectly!!!!  I'm one of the lucky ones!!! Sorry it's not the same for everyone.... It makes it a whole lot easier.... :(

    I am SO happy it's Tuesday! Yesterday was terrible for multiple reasons. I'm putting my Positive Hat on and hoping today is much better!

    I've also been at work for almost 2 hrs now.  I liek being able to leave around 4.  I'm more a morning person than a night person, so I prefer to start early .

    Don't get me wrong, I love his mother. She has the biggest heart, but she does not always think things through and she has a bad habit of planning things and doing things based around one or two people and not the group as a whole.

    Granted, I'm reading this and realizing she she's doing what's easiest for the group as a whole, but it bothers me that she's planning around girls who are not family and will not be family for some time. FI and I are getting married in a little over a year, but since FSIL and her SO are living together, apparently, they're more official and deserve more preference. I know I'm being whiney and selfish about it, but neither FI nor I approve of the way she goes berserk over these girls. and she does go berserk.

    So I really don't want to be at work today... but it will be really quiet as most people are taking this week off, so hopefully I can get a ton of work done!  I have so much to do and with the honeymoon coming up, it is stressing me out!

    On a happy note, I was able to print out the programs last night (now I just need to assemble) and I wrapped 90% of our Christmas presents!  I still feel like I need to get FI something "fun" (for just us) but not sure that I will have time to get something....

    Oh okay I get it now. Yeah sucks that you have to work an extra hour, I am a contract employee so I don't get paid if i'm not here so I definately understand. I am going to have to work over time just to go on our honeymoon.

    Logistics can be so trying.  Yesterday FI and I were trying to figure out how to get my mom to his parents for Christmas dinner.  She's having trouble with her knees and the 2 hr drive can be too much for her.

    Good morning ladies!  I was on time to work yesterday and today, which is a huge accomplishment for me!  It could be that traffic is lighter too, but luckily my boss lives in another state so nobody ever sees when I show up at 8:15....  :)

    Thanks, yeah it sucks thankfully most of them are out of their offices until after the holidays so I am just leaving voicemails. Ugh I would hate doing that too, I would've felt like scrooge.

    I'm at school slacking in the computer lab. YAY! I'm super tired as usualy so today when i get home from school i`m crashing right away.

    ALSO, I'm excited because i`m going to pick up my car tomorrow :D
