That's gonna leave a mark....

Doctor says no make up until this heals.  Any suggestions on how to minimize this scar?  I know professional photos can be photoshopped but others not?

  • When is your wedding? The brusie will go away in a week or two.

I have a scar is almost the same place and it is almost completely unnoticeable now. Put suncreen on every day after your stitches come out. Wear a hat when you are in the sun for any period of time. Get medera, use it liberally.

If I would do a trail run for airbrushing concealer over the scar, if that doesnt work I would try concealer made to cover tattoos.

Probably in December, but gash was one layer from the skull. I wasn't for sure how it will heal.

Got info about the sunscreen (at least 30 SPF) and I will also do cocoa butter.
  • Once you get ok to put anything on it I recommend getting Burt's Bee  Rescue Ontiment that comes in a little green can. You can use it already on the bruised portion. It will help reduce the bruise coloring quicker. Then continue to put it on the scar. Basically keeping it moistorized an clean will help reduce the scarring.

Or talk to your doctor if there are any anti-scarring cremes they recommend. But no matter what you use, just keep the scar from drying out & it should heal better. Good luck!
  • Once's it's fully healed and stitches are out, Bio Oil is wonderful for it - Not sure if it's a Canada thing, or available in the US as well - I have a surgical scar on my knee that was almost gone after 4 months.

  • Thanks!  The stitches came out on Friday and I'm still using neosporin but will probably switch to cocoa butter soon.

I think I MIGHT have a hemotoma on the brow itself.  Thearea is itchy and it takes a lot of willpower not to scratch it!

The doctor who took the stitches believe I may have a slight concussion - as I still have numbness. Seems his wife had had one some time ago and had the same symptoms.
