flowergirls--not throwing petals Other Ideas??

So i decided that my twin neices be my flower girls.  However, at the place I want to have my ceremony, we are not allowed to have them toss the petals as they walk down the aisle.  I have no idea why, but I need other ideas.  my theme is rustic/barn theme but i would appreciate any ideas that you may have.

    Can they toss silk petals?  I know alot of places are worried about real flower petals getting crushed and staining carpets/tiles.  It might be cute to have them blowing bubbles or even just having a little boquet of they're own!  I'm glad I read your post though!  I will be calling my church in the morning to see if they have any restrictions!  Good Luck!

    I've been to several weddings recently that had flower girls, and I've never seen them throw petals. They've always carried small bouquets, pomanders (a ball of flowers on a ribbon loop), or baskets with flowers arranged inside.

    Or give them each a ring pillow with a fake ring on it.

    No i can't do petals of any sort.  but i have been thinking about a pomander or boquet.

    We aren't allowed to do petals either, so we are just having our flower girls walk down the aisle together and hand a single flower stem to the person on the ends of the rows. It works well because we have two so they can each take a side, but if your FG was old enough to understand, she could just generally alternate rows (no big deal if she messes up IMO.. kids are always a hit regardless).

    I like the flower ball idea, I think they are cute. How about just a some basket of flowers that match the wedding party? If you look under flowergirls under the pictures there are a lot of neat ideas too.

     Our Flower girl carrying a basket with various types of fruits and two single flowers in the basket as well that she will give to my mother and soon to be mother in-law.  My ring bearer will be carrying a lantern with the rings. I am going to have to flower girl and ring bearer walk together.  Good luck!
