s/o- How old are you?

Re: s/o- How old are you?

  • I'm 21!

However I never get carded, and haven't been for a few years, when I was 16 I was on a plane with a man who said he had a daughter my age.  She was 26, no one can tell how old I am :/

Also, off topic, Steph, I realized I lied in the questions you asked me last night.  I said I was 'for' Dollar Dances, but I was talking about it with FI later that night, and he said: "aren't those considered tacky?" I asked: "What's tacky about strippers?" Turns out I didn't actually know what a dollar dance was.  So no, I am not in favor of begging for money at weddings.  Pardon my ignorance.
In Response to Re: s/o- How old are you? : No, I really haven't.  I know that where ever I live I had never been carded for cough syrup. Do you also get carded for hand sanitizer and mouthwash? Cause I heard people get drunk off of that.

No, we don't.  But shush your mouth, some dumbass Congressperson will read this and get a wild idea :)

I knew kids who "Robo-tripped" in high school.  It's seriously dangerous, though.

Once, I got carded for buying vitamins.  But I'm pretty sure it was just some over-zealous high school kid who was taking her job a wee bit too seriously, lol.  It's vitamins, ffs.

Dextromethorphan it's one of the active ingredients in a lot of cough suppression medications.  It's a trippy little drug.
Arwo - for the longest time I thought we were the same age. Maybe because you just have so much energy (running, etc), so I just assumed that we were pretty close age-wise. I really liked when we did the mispronounced words vlogs. It really helped put into perspective the ladies that we chat with everyday.
    Posted by mehgank
Ha! I guess high-energy is more like "immature" than it is like "youthful in appearance."

I liked the vlogs too, except I was uncomfortable with you guys seeing what I look like without makeup or anything. Which is dumb, because everyone in my life sees what I look like without makeup all the time

Also, maybe this is a weird place to bring this up, but I never even knew that you noticed anything I ever posted--especially since we don't generally post at the same time. I think at one point I said that I didn't "get you" during an honest opinions thread, because I really hadn't interacted with you. And now I feel crappy about that.
  • Someone I worked with told me she thought I was the same age as her 15 year old niece. I really don't think I look 15. =\

  • My FIL (who is 60 and looks it) was recently carded at an airport bar.  When he asked the bartender about it, the bartender explained that an obviously elderly woman had recently either sued or threatened to sue for age discrimination when she WASN'T carded.

Since then, I've taken getting carded as a grain of salt.  It's more likely to be a CYA for the vendor than a comment on my youthful good looks.
