Hiring a band

My fiance and I are paying for our entire wedding without help from our parents. when looking at music, i thought about maybe skipping a live band for the ceremony and just using a cd recording. is the cheap and tacky?

    No. But there are some cons with that option. Like the CD skipping, the CD player not functioning properly and you will probably need someone to "man" the CD player in case a song doesn't end on time or ends to quickly. I'm having my DJ do my ceremony, he only charged me an extra $100. So it might be worth it to see if your DJ can do the ceremony (assuming your using a DJ). Good luck!

    We had a friend do live acoustic set for our ceremony, is that an option?
    Or have your DJ do it. Don't wanna worry about what PP said.
