I came home to flowers from DH Tuesday night and I got a $25 gift card to Starbucks from a business we deal with.  I still have the other $25 GC that she gave me a few months ago that I have failed to use yet.

    This week we booked our transportation AND honeymoon! So excited! That means all of the big vendors are booked, except for the rehearsal dinner. I'm a very happy bride right now!

    We are doing our last wedding related thing this weekend.  We are doing an after wedding/trash the dress photo session.  Due to time contraints (and my procrastination), I didn't do bridals before the wedding, so this kind of makes up for it.  I'm excited - but a little sad.  After Sunday there's really no reason to ever wear my dress again.  I feel so pretty in my dress.  Sad.

    Hi Ladies,

    Ok, I have been totally MIA since our honeymoon.  Things have been absolutely crazy!!!!  But I have missed you guys and have so much catching up to do.

    I have no AWs as I am still waiting for my wedding and bridal pics but married life is great!

    I just won the Outstanding Offer for Philosophy.    I was THISCLOSE to getting the one for VS but I stopped myself so my husband doesn't kill me.   If only I'd gotten it yesterday.

    I've booked the church, the priest, the reception venue, and my dress is in! It finally feels like we're actually getting married :) And I got to go to the Mavs game in a suite last night - this job is finally paying off!

    I totally just bought a wifi blu ray player from Amazon using a gift card we got from the wedding.   I'm having it shipped to us as a "gift" saying "From Santa".  

    It's really going to freak DH out.

    Lacey, that is so funny to see you say that about your dress after all you went through with it!  Congrats on the TTD--can't wait to see!

    Brandi, I cannot WAIT to see you in that beautiful dress.  I am practically drooling just thinking about it.

    Me and 2 of my girlfriends are going out tomorrow night to Simply Fondue for a GNO in lieu of exchanging gifts.  I've never been and can't wait!

    Steph - You will have a great time. Get the martini tree if you are a martini fan. Their Washington Apple martini is my hands down favorite of all time.

    Tiffany - That's a cute idea. I love how you went from just finding out they exist to having one shipped to your house in less than 24 hours. :) Enjoy it!

    I'm jealous - I can't wait for you to AW them!  I want to AW mine too, but I am still waiting!  All this waiting is killing me... and my mom too!  She asks me all the time about them.  The photog said up to 6 weeks, and we're coming up on 4.......

    Without looking specifically for favors late last night, I found what I want to do! They may end up discontinued in the next 18 months but I have an idea now and can improvise!!!

    2012 - Those pops are super cute!!    The plastic toasting glasses are usually really flimsy, like barely hold together flimsy in my experience.  I'd definitely order a small quantity and test them first, just in case.

    I hope y'all don't mind if I AW my invites again, I'm real excited about them! We went to about 5 different paper places on Tuesday and decided that we're going to use Paper Source (thanks for the reviews Chelsea!) and now I'm on the hunt for the right shade of dark purple envelopes. I also went to Alfred Angelo in Frisco yesterday to pick up color swatches to pick a color for the sash for the BMs dress. Whoever was asking about them the other day, they were extremely helpful! They saw us get there 30 minutes before they opened and let us in and then the lady sat there with us for at least 20 minutes holding up different colored dresses so I could decide what colors I liked together. 
    Also, my cousin had an interview at Michael's the other day so I shopped while I waited for her and I got all of the materials to start on some DIY projects! I'm going to try to make a book wedding ring holder and a card box covered in book pages. It's hard for me to get out on my own so I was really happy to be able to do some craft supply shopping without Daniel there to rush me out. Laughing

    Oh & NWR: We bought our first tree together last night! I had already set up my old fake tree but we decided last minute that we wanted a real one since his parents always got real ones. It was so fun picking one out! And it was a fundraiser for a church so I didn't feel so guilty about spending the money. :) I think I'm a little too excited about how good it smells!
    Also, I named him Fred and keep asking Daniel if he's put the lights on Fred yet cause he's naked right now. Does that make me crazy? Tongue out

    I love real trees!  We always got them so I "bullied" Bill into getting them now.  His parents do fake and I think there's nothing like that pine smell.

    Angela - When we were growing up, my sister always made my mom get a Douglas fir and she always called it Douglas 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc. She made it to Douglas 12.0 before I moved out for college.

    She moved into her first apartment last week and called my to let me know she has Douglas 1.0 in her living room. :)
