Rent linens?

Any one know of a place to rent table clothes that is actually cheaper than the price to buy them? I can buy a white 90X156 table cloth at www.tableclothsfactory.com for $14.39 but I was hoping I could find a place that rents them for less. Seems like very place I've looked at charges like $25 to rent them though...

My caterer does come with white linens, but they are 120's and I really want floor length. What can I say, there are two things I can't stand: chair covers, and table legs..

Thanks for any help

A lot of times, especially with linens, it's cheaper in the end to buy them. They are pretty easy to sell after the wedding.

I know, but I just don't see how some of these vendors haven't caught on to that... I mean, how are they making any money? I know there are some brides that won't bother looking but, there can't really be that many can there? I figure that has to be SOME VENDOR SOME WHERE that realizes that they should rent things for less than the cost of buying... Right?

When you rent, you also pay the person for cost of them travelling to your venue and setting the linens up.

Basically, when you rent linens, you are paying for the linen item itself plus the convenience of not having to mess with selling it later or setting it up and taking it down. That's why they tend to be as expensive or moreso than buying.

But all the places I have looked at have seperate delivery and set up fees. The base price for renting the linen is still more expensive than buying, even if I pick it up, set it up, and take it back myself.

Have you checked out ebay or craigslist?  You may find a bride looking to sell after using them once.  I also remember getting an e-mail for a linen rental line that is associated with David's Bridal.  I think you just place the order online and it is shipped and you just have to get it back within so many days of your event.  I feel like they were less than the quotes you are getting.

Actuallly, I decided to just look it up...here is the link.

Thanks! They are less than the quotes I'm getting, unfortunately they are also a bit more expensive than the price to buy. I will check ebay though. I feel like I checked them before but couldn't find any actual brides selling.. just companies that were just as expensive as everyone else, but I'll check again.

I'm really splurging by spending anything on floor length linens. so I would rather spend less and be potentially stuck with them, than spend more to rent. I'm just trying to spend as little as possible.
