Taco Truck 2

A new one opened up on the opposite end of town as the one that opened last year. The tacos are .50 cheaper, just as good and the new place has a killer quesadillas. A had a strawberry Jarritos to drink (chalk full of HFCS) and used planty of Valencias hot sauce.

Oh, and thank you to Jeffery Steingarten (and hmo) because I tried something that I thought I didn't like and it turns out, yes, I do like it. I had a chorizo taco. I used to think I didn't like chorizo.

For those of you who don't know what chorize is, it mexican sausage. I like the sausage <- HEE!

I do not understand the truck food phenomenon.  Granted, I am old and out of the social loop these days, but I don't recall seeing food trucks around here unless they are feeding the homeless hotdogs.

Nico - There are a few taco trucks here and a boutique kind of one and then the ones that roll into town when there is a fair. I never saw one when I was visiting you. I think no one would eat from one because everyone wants to be inside where the A/C lives.

Food trucks are a staple in NYC. And honestly, some of the best food you'll ever have here.

I eat normal food too.  Just not as often.

My favorite "normal" food?  Cheese fries, with bacon.

I don't think that food trucks are a FL thing. There is one here about 30 minutes north. Our office got take out from there a couple years back and it was good, but I haven't been back since.

I'd be interested in trying more, but there are no others here. Maybe more in Miami.
