asking for T & Ps big time

Thursday my mother woke up unable to move and called 911, and by 10pm Thursday night was being preped for surgery.  Turns out she had a "spinal cord stroke" which caused an abcess on her spine.  The surgery was successful, but she still cant move her left leg.  Docs are optimistic that she will be able to attend the wedding in (3 weeks from today), though she may be in a wheel chair or walker.  I don't care, as long as she's there.  Im just asking for prayers that she makes a full recovery and gets healthy soon.  She's in ICU right now, but she tells me that's because they don't have a room for her....but this coming from a lady who called me and left a message "im on a little adventure so I'll call you later" while she was going to the hospital.

thank you, and yes, it seems this is extremely rare
  • Thoughts and prayers coming your way!
  • On a little adventure, haha. She sounds like a strong, stubborn woman, which is an excellent thing. My thoughts and prayers to you and her, but it sounds like she's going to be fine!
  • "I'm on a little adventure"....wow! I think it's just like a mom not to want to worry her kid(s).  Definitely sending Ts & Ps to you and your family! Keep us updated!

As a side note, you might want to start thinking of some ways you could jazz up a cane or wheelchair.  FI's grandmother *hates* her wheelchair and usually refuses to have her photo taken if she's in it. We're planned to add some flowers and tulle to her chair so we can at least get one photo with her at the wedding!
