Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Late night snack??

So in lieu of favors, we have decided to do a late-night snack kinda thing. First thing I came up with was pizza...I love pizza, FI loves pizza....who the hell doesn't love pizza?!?!

But then I am not completely set on that. So....Help.

What other types of food items would be good for something like this?? Our venue is pretty much up for anything.
We are thinking finger foods, so no real utensils would be needed aside from maybe a small appetizer plate and some napkins...

I was at a wedding where they did little mini cheeseburgers with a fixin's bar and french fries.  Seriously delicious at the end of the night!

We're planning on doing a late snack as well, so I'm interested to hear what other people suggest!

We had pizza and it was a HIT!  I don't think I even got a piece, but that was ok since our guests gobbled it up :)

Being Chicagoans and all, FI and I are looking into doing Chicago-style hot dogs and possibly Chicago-style deep dish. Or one or the other.

I'm not sure what cost would be, but hot dogs and condiments are pretty cheap! :)

I've been to one wedding that had a little "nacho bar" with different salsas (cheap!) and chips and cheese, etc.  It was a big hit!

We're doing mini cheeseburgers with all the fixings at the end of the night.  Possibly gourmet potato chips as well, depending on cost.

Donuts from a local bakery, or choc chip cookies and milk? But I really like the pizza idea!

ITs dinner time. I think I need to go eat after reading all these suggestions :)

We did popcorn with an assortment of sprinkle toppings (white cheddar, ranch, etc).  It went over really well, helped soak up any alcohol, and was pretty cheap.

We had a mini mufaletta (pastry with meat and cheese).  We also had several importated cheeses along with crackers and bread.  I was too full from dinner, but our guests LOVED it!

Wow all these ideas sound delicious!! I am also trying to think of what we will do at the end of the night.  Alot of the weddings I have been to have had little sandwhiches and chips at the end of the night, which as a guest who has spent the night drinking, I have definetly loved those!

Pizza sounds AWESOME! Seriously, who DOESN'T love pizza?!

We're doing mini croissant sandwiches. One will have smoked salmon, one will have turkey, and one will have ham. They're super yummy :)  People can get their salty fix from the sandwiches, and then they can get their sweets from our candy bar.

Yum!! I love all these ideas!
We are for sure doing popcorn as it is my fav food but I would love to incorporate one of these others too!

Are you guys doing it thru your caterer or a DIY thing?

Our venue doesn't allow you to bring in homemade food, but I wonder if crackers and cheese, etc. would count as that?

I think we're doing ours through our caterer, but if the cost is too high, we'll just straight up call in a pizza/Jimmy Johns order!

Thanks again for all the options ladies!!

We will most likely go through the Marquette for the food, cuz they certainly know what they are doing (ever eaten at Basil's? Yeah...awesome!). However, I suppose we COULD go with some outside options too (Pizza Luce, anyone?). I think typically they wouldn't allow outside food, but because the general manager is a close family friend of ours, we may be able to get away with it. To keep it simple though, we'll probably stick to using what is on site.
