    Hmm interesting. Really looking forward to more replies.

    I've given myself a buget of $3,000 for the dress. I'm an odd shape.

    The photographer will end up costing $4,400 when all is said and done. Just put 30% down. It includes..
    -8 Hours Coverage
    -Second Photographer
    -Digital Negatives
    -Editing
    -Online Proof Album

    Does not include photos.

    I havn't commited to a dress or photographer yet, but I feel like everything I have seen is soo much more expensive than what you all have said. The dresses I saw were all around $1000, and the photographers around $2000. Do you mind posting where you bought your dress and who you used as your photographer as well!! Thank you.

    I bought by dress in Indiana but Here Comes the Bride in Addison has it for the same price.
    My photographer is Kara Schultz. LOVE her.

    I got my dress from David's Bridal. I'm plus size so it was really nice that they have so many dresses in larger sizes.
    I'm using Jolie Images for photography. They're able to offer low prices because they print all their own stuff.

    Dress - $799 including $50 for cleaning fee because I bought a sample dress. It was originally $1200. I have no paid for alterations yet. I got it at A Joyful Occassion in Napervile.

    Photo - Essence PHotography. We get to pick our album after the wedding, so we had to put down an $800 deposit to hold the date and photographer. Total I think it's going to be about $1700 which includes 12 hours of photo, unlimited pics, pre-ceremony for both bride and groom and then the rest of the day, online editing of wedding album, digital negatives, printed proof book, rights to the photos, and our album. All the photos that we get after the wedding will be retouched and corrected. I have been nothing but impressed with them so far.

    I purchased my dress is a Mori Lee from Eva's Bridal in Oak Lawn (they give a discount if you buy a dress the same day you try it on)

    I also got my dress from Eva's Bridal - $650 for a Casablanca gown that is gorgeous. i figure after alterations, adding a bustle, taxes and such it will probably end up being around $800-$900.

    For photography, I'm going with Timothy Whaley and it's looking like its going to be $2900 all in. This includes tax, the nicest album, 12 hours with one photographer, 2parent albums, an engagement session and prints, and save the dates. Plus, I convinced them to give me my digital negatives immediately since I bought an album. The standard contract says 6 months after (heads up).

    my photog is a friend so we are giving him an envelope of cash :)
    he works for esssence so we know what he would make that  night if he was  to do another wedding.

    10 hours for both services
    online viewing and proofing
    DVD with negatives of all pictures
    Guests cards with online proofing info
    Engagement session

    Video DVD edited HD and highlight video.

    We gave up the album of 20 pages to get their top photographer since he cost more. We will make our albums our selves.
