PIP - Mock follow up

So I went back last night and we worked with more white flowers, but still kept some green.  Then I felt like it was missing color, so we added some burgundy flowers.  I like it - until I had it on with my dress and it's just all wrong.  We took the red out and it looked better with the dress, but I think I need something less ROUND.  It looks like too much of a ball.

Here is the newest mock:  (I must say, it did look a ton better in person - my camera phone doesn't show the right color)  Even on my phone it looks like the right kind of green.

But now I'm thinking I want something more like THIS:  It has similar flowers, but it's not so ball-ish.

I didn't think it would be so difficult to get flowers I like.

I had told my florist that I didn't like the whole "ball" look, and she said that the difference is adding dimension to the bouquet, so that some flowers are shorter than others, so I'm sure your florist can do the same thing with the flowers that you already have.

If I remember correctly, you are taller but pretty slim.  You don't want to go too small with your bouquet because of your height (it will look disproportioned) but if you don't want something so round, I'm sure that's pretty easy to do.

I told my florist I wanted my bouquet to look clean (aka nothing sticking out too much) but because of my flowers it didn't have to be rounded.  I liked the final result.  Let me know if you want to see pics.  My flowers were completely different from yours though!

And for what its worth, I don't really like the way the little splashes of red looks either... even without seeing it next to your dress.

I think if you want some color in your bouquet, since it is just a little, it should not be so dramatic because it stands out too much.  I'm not very helpful though, because I cannot think of anything to suggest!

I decided I like the color (green & white - nothing more), but the shape was strange.  I do want a big bouquet, but I also don't want it to be huge.  I think you are right about adding "dimension"

Agree with Jill - I had said the same thing to my florist, I described it as not wanting to feel like I was holidng the center of the bouquet and it wrapping over my hands, aka - ball.   She said the same thing about adding dimension.  She purposely used freesia because the stems have buds and made them a little taller so the buds gave it some more dimension.   I know I posted the photo before, but I'l repost a dif angle

ahhh that is gorgeous!  I'm getting a new mock for my last fitting at the end of the month.  I think we are on the same page now. I did originally want one that was ballish and I'm the one who changed my mind, really.  It wasn't my florist's fault - I just didn't really know what I want.  I'll post the last mock in a few weeks!
