IHO of HMO's hair touching, have I told y'all about my one grandmother?

The one who is referred to by EVERYONE as 'snowball'?

Yeah, Yeah, she has that hair.  It's a white sphere.  it's perfectly round.
WHen she met my grandfather (she's my step), he thought she was adorable and started calling her 'snowball'.  The fact that she didn't run screaming is evidience that 1-she's a glutton for punishment and 2-he was charming in spite of being crazy alcoholic and 3-they were meant for each other.

I didn't know she had a different name when I was a kid because my parents TRIED to call her "Janet", it's just...there are 8 Janets in the family so it became easier to default to what grandpa called her...


On their 25th anniversary (shortly before he died), he took out one of the 'congrats' ads in the smalltown paper...and even that said "Happy 25th anniversary for Tim and Snowball'

the Mr. still gives me the sideye when I specify "grandma Snowball"

It's like she's named after the simpson's cat.

    Technically he's snowball 5 or something after the ones in between died :-P

    Even if Snowball were her given name, it still wouldn't make a Top 10 bad name list.

    true...I think it's the fact that she does have the white sphere that makes it worse.

    I mean, it's one thing to call my dad 'gimpy McGee' when he had a temporary limp...another to call the 1 legged uncle that.
    (although, 1 legged uncle would have been OK w/ it :-)
