A year ago today, we got engaged. It's so funny to think it was such a short time ago. We're planning on going back to the restaurant where we got engaged. I can't wait. :)

Anyone else look planning on celebrating their engagement anniversary?

    That's exciting, Plato, congrats! 

    I don't know if we'll celebrate it.  DH is happy to have fewer anniversaries to remember--I told him he can forget our dating anniversary now that we have a wedding anniversary--so he probably won't remember.  We got engaged on 12/24, though, so that's not a hard one to remember and shouldn't be hard to have an extra glass of wine to celebrate!

    Awww....happy engagmentversary!  lol.  Our engagement was labor day weekend (the Monday) two years ago so we are getting married fairly close to the date so we will be celebrating both, simultaneously.  lol

    Our engagement date (10/10) is also our anniversary of when we officially got together, so we celebrate every year!

    We also try to celebrate the day we actually met (8/24).  I have had this grand plan of something special I want to do on that day, but it's been ruined two years in a row (once by his work, once by the weather).  Fingers crossed that I can do it this year instead.

    I agree with jessicabessica... Fi is happy to not have to remember so many dates!
    we got engaged 12/22... it would have been 5 years at the end of this year (wow!)  there was NO WAY i was letting it reach that 5 yr mark without another ring haha!

    Congratulations!! H is also happy to not have to remember more than a few dates. We actually got engaged 1/16/10 so we already are well past the one year point. He asked me like a week before if we wanted to do something to celebrate, and I just told him we could enjoy a glass of wine together at dinner. :) And our 6-year dating anniversary is this year (8/15) and we'll be on our honeymoon so we will celebrate that one! I think from now on though, we'll just acknowledge those dates and celebrate the marriage anniversary.

    Aww, I loved hearing from all you ladies about the dates you got engaged and what your plans are for the celebrations! 

    It's funny, I actually had made plans for tonight because I thought DH was going to be away on travel. I asked if he wanted to come out with me to the plans I made and he was the one who was like, "No, but you can go. I think I'll stay home." Then it hit me why...lol. So I canceled my plans and we're heading out shortly. 

    I think we'll be celebrating our engagementversary (great phrase Chrispgal!), when we started dating (Sept.) and our wedding anniversary. I don't think we'll do a lot for them, except the wedding one. I just like to celebrate, whether it's having a glass of wine at home or going out. :)

    Mmmm...wine. lol. The closer I get to the wedding the more I want to drink.  haha!  Must be all the stress!
