Re: Good Morning

• I've always been thankful that I knew exactly what I wanted to do from a very young age and I love going to work everyday. I have the best job in the whole wide world.

• Hey everyone!

I just got back from feeding the cat I am taking care of while the owners are away.  All I can smell still is wet cat food...so gross.  I am glad my cat only eats dry food.
• Aleigh - I've always started with my insurances in-network list and just picked someone who is close to either my house or my work.  I've had pretty good luck at finding decent doctors with good bedside manner this way in the past.  When I moved to Denver and needed an OB/GYN stat, I posted on The Bump local board and asked for recommendations and got 2 or 3.  I picked the one that was convenient and verified they'd be covered by my insurance.
In Response to Re: Good Morning : I used to have morning nausea if I took my vitamin (regular vitamin before pre-natal time) in the morning without eating anything.  Can you tie it to anything?  Bad sleep, certain breakfast, vitamin on empty stomach?  Now I take my vitamin's at night and sleep though anything they might do to me.

Loopy, the only thing I can think is that it's my meds. I take immunosuppressants b/c I had a kidney transplant, and this kind of stuff is a side effect. We've tried to stagger taking my meds at different times, but then I end up forgetting them and that's not good. It's just weird it doesn't happen every day, so I'm sure there's got to be something else to it that triggers. Luckily, the feeling passes relatively quickly (like within a half hour to an hour).

Mint tea also helps, but back to the preggo thing - I've heard you're not supposed to drink herbal tea while pregnant, so my "cure" may fail me when the time comes. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones that gets nauseous when I'm not preggo, but has no problems when I am!

• On that note.. I have to leave for work.  But have a good day everyone!!
• crf: what do you do for a living?

When I was in second grade I wrote that I was going to be an art teacher when I grew up.  I tell everyone, either I knew at a really young age, or I was just too lazy to ever think of something else.  hahah I love my job though.
• Well, I was a therapist in a residential treatment center for kids for 8 years, and then I got promoted about 6 months ago and now I direct all the clinical programs for our campuses in Fargo and Bismrack.
I would like to pose a question to you ladies, since I know many of you are college educated, in college, or planning to go to college. If you were going to go back to school: Would you do what you wanted to do, knowing you would struggle at it? Or would you do what you were good at, knowing you might not love it as much?
Posted by HappinessByTheKilowatt
I honestly don't know what I would do if I were going back. I'd likely still choose something practical because that's me: Practical Paula. But, recently, I've been sort of wishing I'd gotten an English degree. Mine's Journalism so similar as far as what I can do with it, but we didn't read nearly as many cool books. And Journalism is certainly the more "practical" though I do nothing with it.

• Rachers - we have 2 pups, one is a mut of some sort and shes probably 20 lbs at the most, the other one is part Shepherd so shes pretty big, probably around 60 lbs. Even when she curls up into a (big) ball there is no room for FI and I to stretch out. When FI isnt at home for the night I do let her sleep with me and she stretches out and pretty much takes up as much room as an adult in bed. Pup's can be so stubborn and entitled!

I would suck it up and pay the extra for the faster delivery, you wouldnt want to have to worry about it not coming in time when you already have so much to do.

Work is dead today so my plan is to knot & put together some sort of itinerary for Europe.

• I get so jealous of people who knew what they wanted to do and stuck with that. Happy for them, but jealous :) I feel like there are a lot of things I would be content to do, but I do want to be challenged, and I do want to be employed. A lot of the things that would make me happy and I am good at are more of the "starving artist" type things. The things that would challenge me that I would love but would struggle with are the science/math things, where I would no doubt be able to find employment but don't know if I would ever be excellent at what I do.

Yep, 27 years old and I can't decide where to go from here because there are too many darn options.

• Hi guys!  I'm still here, for what it's worth, because I'm not really here very much anyway!  I signed up for Thunderdome but I don't really feel like jumping in and starting from scratch anyway.  So whatevs.

Also, I think Miley's haircut is cute on her, and I also don't see why it's news in the first place.

I am in dire need of fall clothes.  It defintely seems like fall is settling in early this year.  It just feels different outside now.  I am afraid we might not be able to use the pool again because it's not heated :(  But I don't want to close it yet!  Either way, I think a trip to the shopping outlets is in my future.
• Good morning.

I like the idea of being all together on one board, been saying that for awhile. For me the drawback of something like proboards is the lack of fresh meat and crazies.
• The only reason I'm even remotely okay with fall approaching is the new sweater I bought a few weeks ago. I've always wanted one like it and I got a sweet awesome deal on it. Double win!

I'm not ready to give up my summer yet.

Bay - how long is cfas in Europe for? I am jealous that she is there right now.

I am not a fan of Miley's new hair, I liked her old new hair better.

Happ - I am right there with you in being jealous of people who know what they want to do with their life, I am all over the place right now but I know I do not want to stay where I am.

FI suggested that when we go to Europe we go to the opera and when I texted him asking which city he would like to go to the opera in he replied asking 'what is opera'. Ah boys.

I am ready for the fall, I love the crispiness in the air, sweaters & pumpkin lattes. And Christmas! I have a Christmas countdown in my phone already - have for awhile.

• Good morning!

I finally got an internet connection at the beach house!

I missed a lot, apparently.

I'm lounging in a lounge chair drinking coffee and watching the waves roll in on the beach.

Sucks to be me, doesn't it?   ;)
• Morning.

I seem to be alone in not really wanting E and SB on the same board. Don't get me wrong, I like the ladies on SB and I'll post there sometimes, but while there are some people who seem to fit into both boards, there are others who don't. Namely, the people on E who are a little sweeter and less "let's flip the fuuuuck out at each other and still be friends after" don't really go with the SB vibe. JMO, of course.

My dad and I just got back from a great bike ride. I'm going to head to the beach in a few minutes. It might rain later, so I want to get the time in while I can.

• Midge, what is this sweater that you've been wanting for years?  Also, did you get your free pizza and ice cream yet, from the 11 strikeouts?  We got our free pizza on the way back to Columbus after the game :)
• Abbie - I was so disappointed at our shopping trip to Jeffersonville this summer.  I could have stayed here and went to the regular stores for the prices.  You couldn't find very many great deals and the selection was meh.  Have you been to the Tanger Outlets in Washington, PA?  I like this much better and I think that's where we'll go next time we do an outlet run.

I forget who asked, the  yogurt was Kroger brand.
• I don't get the karma points.  Does that mean that, if you give someone enough negative points, that they'll get banned?  I feel like that could be horribly misused.

Also, it hasn't even been 24 hours and Chels already has -3 karma points.  I doubt she's said anything that inflammatory in less than 24 hours.  I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Karma points are stupid, you can give people as many negative or positive ones as you want (it limits how often you can do it, I think its maybe 30 minutes or something) and the points mean nothing, just a popularity contest.

Angel - I love your sig pic!

• All my "fall" clothes I bought are cute summer dresses that would look adorbs with a denim coat and boots... plus I bought new over the knees that are fabulous and I can't wait to put them on.  AND I bought white skinny jeans to replace a pair I ripped and these are called "yoga jeans" and they feel like yoga pants.  that's all kinds of win right there.  They don't look or feel like Jeggins, they honestly look like skinny jeans (thick ones at that) and feel like yoga pants.  I want 80 pairs of them.

Really?  That's where I was thinking we'd go.  I usually have pretty good luck there.  Someimes we go to Lodi, up near Cleveland, too.  I think there are some decent ones up near Detroit too but I forget what they're called.  How far are the ones in PA?

Who makes these jeans?!  I am intrigued.
• Habs, please to be telling me more about these yoga jeans.  Namely, where you got them.  That sounds like the best combination ever.

Morning all!  I'm on the fence about the proboard.  I'm so used to the TK format.  I'm liking this whole not working thing.  I just went on a nice 10 mile bike ride.  I should have done a dry run in the car, though, because half of it didn't have a bike lane and people drive really big trucks here.
