Good morning... I will have in about a month when mine is done... Its being altered right now. I didn't have any pictures going in, mine is a very full ball gown with a long train, so its requiring three bustles. But I just took it into the seamstress, she figured how it it would work best, showed me what it would look like and that was that.

Do you have to get yours in right away?

I had a ballgown dress with a very short trane. My bustle had 3 points, that were all close to each other.

Did they tell you that you needed to pick your bustle? I guess I'm clueless on this because I didn't even know there were different types. When I was doing my alterations they just did the bustle with it, and i was never asked how I wanted it, but I also didn't care.

As for what I need in a bustle, I have no clue, its all greek to me. I have a while before its done and I just want to be ahead of the game.

trust your alterations person.....trust me they have a better sense of these things....i had no clue and didnt think i'd like what she suggested in theory but when i saw it it was perfect...

Here's a before and after pic of my dress and bustle. It has draping so a traditional french bustle wouldn't work well. It's a total of 20 point between the 3 different layers.
